If you made it with your hands, and it's okay with you, I'd like to show your work and shout you out in a video too.
I love how he refers to the camera as “you guys” in his videos. Makes it sound like we’re always with him; trapped in a tiny camera and forced to watch him making baits
i may be trapped, but im not complaining!
Rex Mini took a much less wholesome turn towards the end but I don’t mind.
How do you know we aren't?
Justin Hopkins oh noo
@@leetlebob8203 what a bummer
I would be excited to see a lure with googly eyes in it
OMG yes!!!!!!!!
haha yeah thatd be cool ...even hive you a little extra rattle
I have a cat that was born with one eye, we always joke about giving him a googly eye eye patch 😂😂😂
I’m trying to build a lure, I’m actually thinking about doing it

I feel like he is the bob Ross of lure making
Happy little stripes.

@@kyleegan9539 Been there man, Be strong!
Kyle Egan that’s sad man, we are here for you.
My dad is anti technology and has never used CZcams. Showed him your content and he's now borrowing my tablet to binge your channel. Also.. lucky deer lure?
Now *THIS* is some content that I never thought I'd see you do...
*AND I LOVE IT!*
Dude, watching you is like watching a close friend I met on a dock who randomly found a camera and decided to walk around with it and just do what he does best. You're so calm and all your videos feel more legitimate than all these other fishing channels. No music, just you, chip, and 5 minute epoxy.
Supergluebakingsoda
I feel the same way lol
"Or she, lets not be sexist here. She might be a horrible person too." I laughed waaayy too hard at that 😂😂
Same! I LOL'd
I have been waiting for someone to make that joke for months.
He's over here winging it getting perfect action right away, meanwhile I'm on version 20 of a plastic worm.
Revamped Outdoors 🤣😂🤣😂
Right in the feels
It's official, bass like chunks of wood with hooks on them.
Apparently 200k+ people also like chunks of wood with hooks on them lol. 👍🎣
@@sonnyjimm23 no we like a chunk of flesh on bone structure making chunks of woods that bass likes.
Hooks work like in spongebob
Yeah, young bass hit everything.
@@dangerousdoggo5465 ok Mr middle school.
When he was cooking and it shriveled I started dying 😂
It seems you could stay alive
"I need to think for a second....that went no where" This guy is pure gold. 😆
Marling: “I forgot the baking soda”
Fishes: “He forgot the baking soda”
Old man in woods: “He forgot the baking soda”
not a bad job, your butter burned on ya! your fish curled cause you didn't scrape the scales off the skin!
can't tell from picture but the bark you carved yes (bark) looked to be like a white or water oak maybe keep it up!
😂
i think he also forgot a pencil
Stubborn following bird: "Need some baking soda?"
Ladybug: bet he forgets the baking soda...
I bet you won’t make a German Shepherd bait lol
😅😂🤣 that I would love to see
I've been calling for a kitten bait for ages! To catch musky and pike
@plasterbrick or he could add a kind of wiggle tail as the tail and use it for catfish... kitties for cats 😂👌🏻
How about a pencil shaped popper like those big fat perncils or maybe a crayon for our scholar audiences
Awesome idea
There's nothing wrong with being thankful. Even if your rambling. We can tell your humble and honestly thankful.
23:20 skin side down bro thats why it came out like that
And heat should not be that high
I get it that it’s your first time but ... there’s some advice
But he didn’t die. 👍 Success!
Skin side last is healthier
same goes for chicken with skin.
and score the skin
I was thinking that same thing with skin side down lol I laughed when I seen he cut the trout in half I prefer to keep it whole and stuff it with lemon or orange slices and season the inside but I get it he hasn’t done it before so it makes sense lol
This was the 200k special and probably one of your least professional videos...
Never change
*EVER*
skin side down first my dude!!! keep being AWESOME. love the videos, actually subbed way back because i heard Colter Wall and tyler childers in back to back videos! lol
Just saying my first name is colter
Hahaha, I was yelling skin side down and seasoning when he flopped those in the pan! Good effort anyways lol
You guys get it
I find comfort knowing you can’t look into the “eye” of the camera. Makes me feel better about not being able to look some people in the eyes lol

@@nitrusdestroyer4455 I knew this was a joke but it made me anxious so I had to rewatch.
Trout with dill, salt, pepper, lemon and butter on a grill in tinfoil is amazing.
The perfect seasoning. A small splash of white wine in there never hurts too.
I’ve watched about a million hours of CZcams and I just found my favorite channel out of them all! Amazing content.
Me: forgets tackle box. “Sh*t. Guess I’m going home.”
Him: give me a piece of bark.
Slightly pissed I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on lures.
I have spent maybe almost thousand euros on lures. Rods reels line fly fishing stuff gear probably half thoudand
Why don't cut the bottom plastic milk bottle the e put you paints ect it keeps them tidy on you desk aswell Richard
hahahahahaha "hold my bark"
To be fair, he has probably spent much more on tools.
@@thisismerica5721 no, no. Have you ever bought a new boat to fish. Plus all of the extra rods lures and crap then having everything stolen and insurance didnt cover the boat so you bought a better boat and even better gear dispite not getting insurance claim
Fly fishermen: "Trout are a delicate gamefish!"
Marling baits: 21:44
I was thinking the same think lol
I’m not sure exactly why but every video you make is so entertaining. Absolutely love your vids man 👍
You are a funny, non-fish cooking, lure building genius!
Subbed.
“I took quite the piece...I’m sorry tree” 😂
Alright, thats it. Next bait should be a rattle trap type lure.
Me: My lures don’t catch anything!
Marling: *Hold My Bark*
enjoy your free sub I just gave you :)
That little bent file got my attention. I love having just-the-right-tool, even if I have to dream up a project for using it. File on my brother!
Excellent. Catch and cook when we were kids was always good fun. Remember catching grayling and wrapping them in mud and baking them in a fire by the river. Thank you. UK.
The first thing I noticed about this reel is its weight czcams.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I wouldn't say it was uncomfortable but it was a little heavier than other similarly sized reels. However, that didn't deter my enjoyment of how smooth this reel is. I spooled it with 20lb. Tuf-Line XP and it's perfect for what I use it for. I have it paired with an 8'6" Medium/Fast Okuma SST Salmon/Steelhead rod. The combination is perfect for casting and even drifting. I used the reel all day and didn't experience any arm or hand fatigue except when fighting a few fish! The bail is solid and feels strong when engaging by reeling and manually closing the bail by hand. The large rubber handle grip is very comfortable. It's got a powerful drag, silky smooth reeling, and feels very comfortable in the hands. I recommend it!
I LOVE THOS AKWARD ZOOM INS😂😂😂😂keep up the great vids
You've gotten a lot better at infusing comedy into these videos. On a side note, it would be cool to see some more of your high-detail lures that you used to make.
Why is watching this so relaxing to watch.....thanks for bringing some normalcy into my house during this time of the plandemic.
Hola Nate...greetings from Peru...congrats for surpassing 200K subscribers..now you are on the way for 300K. We will continue enjoying and learning from your work and creativity ....thanks for giving the chance to have a moment of good time in your channel...
always cook your fish skin down :)
Skin down and much lower temperature than whatever he was set at.
Yea 100% always

You are the best person ever the carving and fishing are my favorite things but this is awsome to

This guy is excellent and interesting. Very good craftsmen. Nice. I enjoy these videos so much. I'm retired and a widower with no kids, so I have an abundance of disposable time. Nice. Thanks for your efforts and time.
The best storyteller in the whole wide world! Period!
Man if only there was a website you could easily watch a video and learn how to clean a brook trout...
One day clean and cook! DAMN DUDE! #ambitious 👍🏻👍🏻
Always start skin side down. I love that you're already over 220,000 subs. Well deserved.
You made my day when you cooked your fish and didn't trust what was going on!! Subscriber!!
Next time use the sawdust instead of baking soda!
Awesome video man love your videos try making my own lures sometimes because of you

Huntin fishin Hub yessir!

Cleaning fish is just as much of an art form as catching fish. If you want to enjoy your meal, learning this art is most important.
When I was a kid my dad and I used to go trout fishing north of where we lived. We would clean the fish then throw them straight in the pan and eat it right off the bone. Some of the best fish Ive ever had
I do woodwork in my school hopefully I will learn how to make my own lures one day you make the best video your my inspiration
Ordered my first soft plastic mold today to get into lure making after watching all your videos. Dont have the confidence for hard baits just yet
I love rewatching all these old master-baiting videos, they’re still just as pleasurable to watch as they were the first time.
Always cook fish skin side down first, stops it shrivelling up ;)
That is not the reason it shriveled. It was too fresh and still in rigor mortis, that was the problem.

this is incredible. this is why we love your content. congrats on 200k, you deserve even more.
Another great video. I am inspired to make a few lures and try them out.
I just started watching your videos due to my recently re-acquired love of fishing. Thank you for making such great content and always taking us along on your adventures. I look forward to staying tuned~
Please don't ever stop being "Quirky" ...on top of being amazed at your abilities we get to smile along the way
Would really love to see some more catch and cooks my man loving the content
You remind me of Jim from the office

Good job. I have enjoyed being subscribed to your channel for months now. Always gives me warm fuzzys watching you make your lures and baits 😊😊😊
You crack me up man! I love it!!! Thank you for bringing your personality for display to all of us!
Hows a ladybug lure sound or have you already done that
Also congrats on 200k
My word! When I first started watching you I thought you were a skilled craftsman. Now, however, I can see you are just really lucky with what you do lol. You just have a natural gift my friend.
Royal_ish how is he lucky and not skilled
The best part of this channel is the commentary
I'm sure glad I found this channel. This is so much fun to watch. Thanks.
Nicely freakin' done! Im a trout fishing enthousiast here in iowa, but I dont catch too many on lipless cranks. We have a small trout area in North East iowa, called the driftless area, and I love nothing more than a clear morning on a trout stream. Nice job on your fish, just seeing you catch that brookie makes me happy. If you want to make another river bank vid, id like to see you make a long jerkbait.
Love it, this is one of my favorite vids of yours...
One of the best channels on CZcams 👌🏼👌🏼
The reason I love this guy is what he says from 1:39 to 1:45. I hope he keeps on pushing himself and creating more content. I'll be watching.
You have the spirit of perseverance, peace of mind and simplicity and these are the advantages of a real fisherman, thanks for the wonderful videos.
Good luck
Congratulations on 200k man all 200k of us love you and ur vids keep up the great work
Heck yeah
That feeling when you reach down to like a video a second time...
I think you should watch a trout cooking video. On the other hand, that lure looked amazing for a bank build. You are my favorite (Terribly Confused) You Tube personality!!!
I don't like to subscribe to too many channels cuz then CZcams thinks they know what you like and starts recommending you videos you're not interested in anymore. But after watching the 5th video of you making lures, I am obligated to subscribe! Great content and that zoom in of the fish shriveling up in the pan was hilarious.
I love your content. That being said, you nailed it when you said, "what kind of sheltered weirdo have I been watching?"
"We're gonna paper & bic it"
Same asf man
"I'm sorry tree" 😆 the way he said it
445K subscribers. Keep on doing the fab job that you are doing. Loving the videos.
I lost it at "sheltered weirdo."
Try and put the fish on a lower heat and the butter woulnt burn
Your not a weirdo your my hero lol keep up the great work
I love trout! Trout is the only freshwater species that I sometimes keep for dinner. Otherwise, I usually practice catch and release. My favorite way of preparing trout is first scaling it, gutting it, then just pan-fry with some oil, salt, and pepper. I think about 4 min on each side works pretty good, just make sure the meatier parts of the fish (like the back) get cooked thoroughly before consuming. Oh, and I almost forgot. Sprinkle some lemon on there🍋 You’ll know you cooked it right if the meat cleanly separates from the bones when you start chowing down😄
It would be awesome to see a saltwater lure like something inshore and also offshore like a inshore Rapala and an offshore lure like a flying fish or a big jig
good video i making a popper bait am going to make a video over it. i just got a sander !!! and a jig saw. Have a good day Marling !!!
Awe you are such a cool guy! I love your channel. I'm glad Chip got a bite too!
Bro I’m amazed with your craftsmanship and your awesome personality
This might be the earliest I've been to any CZcams video.
Lemme use my visability to ask to pay (top dollar) for a lure :).
As a bona fide country boy, I laughed my way through the entire second half of this one. How about raise, kill, process and eat a chicken for 300k? Love the videos, man. Keep 'em coming!
or collab with someone who knows how to clean and cook fish.
Lmao he would be able to snap its neck
Dude i started following when you were at like 20k subs now your at 230k awesome work you deserve it. You have come so far since not talking in your vids!
After these comments, your next catch and cook oughta be amazing. Also, just wanted to say I love the channel. Just found it last night at work and I've lost so much sleep and time now. Keep it up, man. I love watching a master craftsman at his trade.
How about making a leech bait for catfish and bass fishing??????
0:43 if u got pulled over and they searched that bag they would be a little suspicious😂😂
Especially if he brought the baking soda.
So wonderful. Milestone video. More catch and cook please...
