I've always loved your character design, names, environments, and goofy concepts in your Akiko series Mark. It reminds me of a mixture of Commander Keen and Tintin. You should do a video showing us how to come up with character designs like these, as I honestly think your characters in Akiko are some of your best!

I have the entire Akiko series. They're absolutely wonderful. Great drawings and sense of humor. I don't even recall how I got turned on to it. I met Mark Crilley one year at Comic Con San Diego, and got a signed drawing for my son.
I watched your videos for the first time today and the main reason I watched this video was to listen to the voice acting you'd do for your characters and let me tell you, YOU'RE AWESOME! YOUR STORY IS AWESOME, YOUR CHARACTERS ARE AWESOME, YOUR TEACHING IS AWESOME, YOUR HUMOR IS AWESOME AND YOUR ANIMATION IS AWESOME! I've never seen a person like you in my entire life

This was great, Mark! Played it for the g-kids bedtime story, and they enjoyed it. I did as well. In fact, this might be the only acceptable way for me (older guy) to view a comic book digitally. The whole idea to me is to have it in hand and pour over the artwork, and collecting comic books? That doesn't even make sense digitally.

I'm creating a comic...I have a story and everything,I can draw too...but my problem is..how will I turn it to a book? Do I need a computer to draw them,like to make it look exactly like the other comics with ink and not "pencil-ish"? Can u please do a full video on that,how to make a comic book,show how to make the cases,put the drawings and dialogues even add color etc etc.Thank you.

I eagerly await each of your new videos, but I have to admit I felt a bit ambivalent about this one. I thought, "Oh, well, it beats what I should be doing..." (pulling weeds in the yard). I found myself smiling through the entire thing...delightful story, and I love the font that you used for Gax, with whom I was familiar from one of your 10/10/1 videos. I admit that the ending was a bit abrupt, but that was because I was looking forward to many more pages. Now I'm headed out to the back yard with my toothbrush in my pocket, just in case...
This was a lot of fun, would have made a great bedtime story but I wasn't born quite yet XD
Thanks for sharing it with us, it was wonderful! 😄 I loved all the different voices and I think the ending fit pretty well! I read both Brody's Ghost and the Miki Falls series digitally, I liked them both! I'd definitely watch more of these videos if you decide to do more in the future 😊

"begginer's luck" ..no!!! You should see what our amateur first comics look like, yours clearly is so well done and worthy of being published. Also I like the ending that way, I think it makes it so that the akiko being picked up randomly make more sense.
It's interesting to hear that your first comic that launched your many other projects started from just well... starting. I think it's given me a bit more confidence to try myself.
Though, I think your artwork, especially for Gamgor, is a bit above my level just yet.

Am i the only one that find Akiko kinda, creepy? I dont know, those big black button eyes doesn't really convey any clear emotions. Also, she's the only one who has them, while the others have somewhat detailed normal eyes. With the exception being the prince, which kinda makes them made for each other in a way.
