I had planned to attend with my pastor, however, my wife had to start taking chemo again and I needed to stay home with her. Thank you for posting the sessions!

Dear Josh, I do love your preachings but in this particular one where you went into the "universe and cosmology", according to the scriptures in Genesis 1, you have got it very wrong. Genesis 1 simply states that, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." And that's it, no mention of other planets or universe or galaxies. None whatsoever. If you believe in the heliocentric theory, where the sun is the centre of the universe and the earth revolves around the sun, then you will have a big problem with Genesis 1:14-19.
Yes, the Christian faith is all about our Lord Jesus Christ and why and how He saved us from our sins, I wouldn't want to trade ANYTHING in the world for this, period.
But Christ also declared, John 16:12 I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, HE WILL GUIDE YOU INTO ALL THE TRUTH; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.
And since you touched a fair bit on cosmology, i am thinking you should reconsider your thoughts from the standpoint of what Genesis 1 has told us about the creation of "heavens and earth".

Chris, you are reading too much into Josh's sermon and you are basically muddled in what you are trying to say. Would you care to try again with greater clarity?

"The heavens" are talking about the universes. The first verse talks about the entire universe. The rest of the chapter is looking at creation from Earth's perspective. As for the sun and moon, since it is from earth's view point, even in evolutionary belief, they believe that the earth was covered in clouds due to the land formations being created through volcanoes. Now I do believe the earth itself is young (6000+ years) but this can easily explain how there was light but no lights in the sky (since they were hidden in the clouds) as well as why there was night time before the sun.

This is such an unnecessary distraction. Believers need to stop making and responding to these sorts of comments. It's great to have these conversations in the right context, but here it distracts from the message of the video (which had nothing to do with any of the points raised). Go argue on another video.
