I'm taking this test in 9 hours and I am trying to cram 3-5 books into my head, learn more mcq tips, and learn more essay tips so that I can get the sophistication point, at this point I am just going to cry
yeah same, i procrastinated a lot. but don't cram novels, instead focus on (at least) 1-2 books that you've studied the most. use sparknotes and write down their themes and symbols.
for multiple choice, read over the questions first and once you understand the gist of the passage, try to just select the answer choice that makes the most sense. don't spent too much time on difficult questions because you only have an hour.
essays are pretty structured so as long as you balance your time and have a strong thesis you should be fine. and make sure your body paragraphs continuously relate to your thesis, don't just summarize. if you feel like you haven't written enough, get evidence and quotes from the passage to weave into your writing.
read over the notes you took from sparknotes before you go to bed. sleep is really important before exams. make sure you eat a good breakfast in the morning, drink some coffee, and don't worry too much if you don't get a passing score. this class is really difficult so you should be proud of yourself for even taking it. remember your mental health comes first! good luck

Thank you!! I mean, I know that my grade is not going to be the best and it’s sad because I only had 6 months to learn the material and we didn’t even finish half of it.... I’m just disappointed because I took the class but it’s going to be for nothing since I’m not gonna receive any credits. Anyways, let just hope I get at least a 1 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thanks for the video! I have a question about the sophistication point. I see that one way to get the point is to engage in multiple interpretations of the passage. I’m assuming that the readers want me to explain how these other interpretations are wrong and how mine is right. However, will I still get the point if I don’t disprove these other interpretations? Rather I just explain how one could interpret the poem/passage differently.
At least I’m not the only one that feels like they’re doomed
