John Madden also said that the league is better when the Bears are good
Been a bears fan for a long time and boy ive never been this stoked.
You forget last offseason when you guys were SB bound.
@@softjones3128 Realistic Bear fans never thought they were SB bound...
@@Mike-jv4rz Unfortunately the unrealistic fans outnumber the realistic fans 5-1.
Same bro DA BEARS
At the end of the day Chitown is a football town. Cubs games are fun, but the Bears are Chicago's Team.
Bears are the legacy founding franchise of the NFL! Most wins in NFL history, most hall of famers of any team, second most championships in the NFL, one of the largest fan bases! OF COURSE the NFL better when the Bears are good! I say this as a Chiefs fan! Bears are an iconic franchise!
Packers have the most wins of any NFL team at 799 total but nice try. 😂
@@CalebsPurse Bears are only a handful of wins away. But I am glad the great people of Wisconsin have something to be proud of, considering it is a flyover state with 0 redeeming qualities. I have never heard of anyone saying, “I want to go on vacation to Wisconsin.” And for good reason. Such a depressing state.
And the Bears have played like 30 more games in their history than the Packers. Packers have a higher winning percentage
@@GrabielBradge as the People's Republic of Illinois continues to tax its poor citizens to death and the city of Chicago in particular reaps the harvest of its woke trajectory, it seems like you might want to stay quiet about what you think about anywhere else. And I'm not even from Wisconsin. But I have vacationed there and found it to be very eye appealing and fun place to be...even if Madison and Milwaukee are within its boarders.
@@willowbrook2717 And within its borders as well.
7:16 "Peyton, this is the NFL, everybody can get there". The wisest words for rookie QB's in their first year in the NFL.
Yep. And he’s not gonna be facing 3d stringers and udfa’s during the regular season.
@@TheFullKanani For sure.
And he showed up. Made a couple of great throws and moved the offense downfield in both of his drives. Hes off to a great start. The talent is ridiculous.
Good points Rich. The Panthers’s are the Gift that keeps giving for the Da Bears. And this from a Cowboys fan
Will have to wait to see how it plays out but right now it's looking like one of the most lopsided trades in modern NFL history. So far the way it's shaken out, they gave up Caleb Williams, DJ Moore, Montez Sweat + more picks for .... Bryce Young.
Optimistic he's the answer at QB for Chicago, but the realist, and Bears fan, in me is expecting a letdown.
That seems more pessimistic than realist
The truth is in the middle. He's likely going to end up a top 7-12 QB for a long time. Kind of similar to Cousins or Stafford in terms of productivity. Good enough to potentially win a SB but not an all-time great. For the Bears, tho, that's like being 12 years old and getting a PS2 for Christmas. Pure euphoria to have competence at the position.
@samismith8752 Stafford was always a great QB, just never had a decent team around him. I project Caleb to be better than Cousins though. I think by year's end people will be putting Caleb in their top 10, but I wouldn't be comparing mahomes in his year 2 with Caleb just yet.
Yeah me too
i mean the truth is we just dont know. we have no idea how any of this will pan out and all we can do is hype him up and keep faith.
As a Bears fan, I am cautiously optimistic but I'm worried about our interior offensive line.
This
@@lolitsajoke77 Not really. That's only because Fields made the O line look worse than it actually was because he ate sacks constantly. There are plenty of great QBs with average lines or even awful lines that have gone to the SB. Joe Burrow in his second season for one example. Caleb is able to get the ball out fast, we've seen it in camp. Unlike Field's ridiculously, horrifically long throwing motion that makes it impossible for him to get the ball out in time. Never mind the fact he takes 7 seconds to make a decision and lacks any anticipation whatsoever.
As a Bills fan I’m extremely worried about the Bears offensive line. Getting elite talent at skilled positions is hard and they did it, now they gotta worry about the bottom 5 unit that’s supposed to protect their future. Bears are finally doing it right after 100 years.
The D-Line is just as bad. Poles knows
As you should be😂😂😂
I have confidence caleb will be the guy for the bears and will be phenomenal he has alot of talent and potential fr much success to the bears this season 😊
Possibly the biggest trade fleece in NFL history
I'd say biggest in the past 25 years... Nothing tops Mike Ditka (Ironically lol) trading 8 picks for 1 pick... The Rick Williams Saga!
But definitely agreed!
Rich says he a Jets fan. But I believe deep in his heart, This great man is BEARS fan!!!!
I think when a historic franchise is so bad for so long people start rooting for them simply out of their love for the sport. Happened to the Cubs in 2015-16 and is happening now with the Lions. Even the Knicks who are historically one of the most hated NBA teams got a lot of love from the public during their playoff run.
@samismith8752 This is spot on. Like Dallas and San Francisco, the league is better when the Bears are relevant.
Not a chance. He’s a Rams fan since they drafted that rb outta Michigan.
Rich with the smooth RFK jab 🥊😂😂
Jesus loves you! Jesus saved my life! From suicidal to SAVED! Read the Bible! Pray! Have Faith! God bless! Repent and follow Christ! Jeremiah 29:11 Psalms 62✝🤍💪🙏 Jesus knows you by name! Seek Him!!
With the schedule, and roster, Bears could be a 10 win (or more) team this year.
What about the offensive line that looks like it could be a bottom 5 unit in the NFL. That will derail everything quickly so they better have a good plan to protect this dude. I love the Bills but it would be nice to see the Bears with a f’ing QB for the first time….ever.
@@axe2grind244 Oh I have concerns about the O line, but I do have hope it will be better than last year, and I think at times the D will carry the team (no change from normal) Yeah it would be VERY nice for the Bears to have a good QB! This season has me more nervous than any time since 1984! yes I am old😆
@@axe2grind244that’s what they said about CJ stroud. The offensive line isn’t bad. Fields was just an idiot and got himself sacked
@@axe2grind244 Shane Waldron had the 30th ranked OL in Seattle and schemed around them being that bad. The Bears will be fine with game planning/play calling with an average at best OL along with a QB that has plus pocket presence and spatial awareness with a quick release.
14-3
To be fair Caleb did have about 950 passing yards 7 touchdowns, and a rushing touchdown in 3 games against Utah. So it’s not like they shut him down either
I was about to say USC’s defense had a problem with Utah not Caleb.
But if you watched each game, he wasn’t the superstar he was suppose to be against the top tier teams. 0-3 against Utah is bad
@@CalobAdamsInfamous913 College means nothing Mahomes was 0-9 vs ranked teams and was what 5-8 in is final season
Solid stat and fact!@@davis2k1234
what will really help him is he's playing against a good defense that has a good secondary. he should already be a little ahead of the curve in terms of speed of the game because he consistently has to play a top defense.
That just may be the most elegant prologue of The Bears I ever heard.. That just tripled my excitement about the opener 💯
Rich I'm from Chicago and you're the best
This is the best situation an overall number one QB has ever walked into in league history.
DA Bears 🐻
62 years old and a bears fan my whole life. Yes, Caleb is the Christ Child, but Jesus H ... we better get ongoing problems with our O-Line fixed or this can get ugly quick. A shell-shocked rookie QB can develop bad habits
I'm actually glad my Seahawks took a chance on Sam Howell, since he has all the physical tools. I just don't know if he can overcome the abuse he took in Washington last year.
But I do hope Caleb turns out good because the more good players in the NFL, the better the games are. Best of luck to your Bears (except against Seattle)
Well said. 56 and have lived and died with this team. We can all see it! Can’t they?
Facts
Zach Wilson....feel bad for him.
I think he’s the type of dude who will figure it out , don’t worry 😉
Go Bears!!!!
Bears are freakin’ loaded
Hopefully they'll sober up when the season starts.
Except our O line
With the largest single-team media market in the NFL, it's good for football when the Bears are good. It does appear that the Bears are set up for success in the NFC North with all their division games in the last half of the season. That allows #18 some time to get his feet under him before the Bears have to take on their own division.
The LA football market is a joke. Look at how many fans showed up at their games when they won the super bowl; they get drowned out by San Francisco games every time the 49ers play there. LA doesn't care about football, the NFL just had to have a team there.
the NFL definitely buying into the narrative.
RE is my GOAT of sports media. Don't always agree. But always respect.
I know Caleb hasn't taken a single snap, but the hate against him is unwarranted.
I hope Caleb shuts up all the critics and haters and has a great career.
I don’t hate him, I hate the media hype surrounding him when 75% of what made him great in college will not translate to the NFL, and all of the best defenses he played in college he was exposed and played poorly. I just don’t think he’s going to pan out.
@prestonrowe5157 all valid points yet you left out the fact that he didn't have a player on offense drafted before the 7th round an still avg 41 ppg 2nd only to LSU who had 2 first round Wrs and the #2 QB. If you hate so much then u might just miss vital info. Anyway we'll see wat he can do
I haven’t seen any hate but I’m a casual 😊
The hype is unwarranted
@@JasperPoultondderrrrrrrrrppppppppppppppp
Love it
Bears and Browns. The most beat up teams by the media. For the love of God please please Caleb save the team. In Caleb, Moore, and company will we trust. Rich Eisen and staff, you're all great.
The RFK zinger was top class
Caleb said the outside noise is all it is noise! He talked with Kay Adams day or so ago, would recommend you listen to it
The Bears are one of those teams that gets lots of prime time games regardless of how good they are because they're from such a major media market. Every season there is at least one week we sit down to watch Sunday Night Football, the Chicago logo shows up on the screen and my brother says "the Bears?! Ah nuts!" So since I'm going to get stuck watching some of their games anyway, it is better if they're a good team. Some of the other culprits for getting prime time games even if they suck include the Giants, Steelers, Packers and, of course, the Cowboys.
Maybe you ought to just recheck that, look at what they had last year in terms of Prime Time games
Only prime time game this year is week 2 on Sunday night and week 17 for a Thursday night game
This is a fair comment. The Bears do always get a bunch of primetime games and most of them are shitty and boring, and I say this as a Bears fan.
Offensive Line help wanted and needed in chicago!
What is going on with that audio issue?
It's always over hyped until he plays meaningful games.
People of chicago argue all summer about the cubs and sox but come together for the bears, bulls, and blackhawks
ya but what about their o-line?
" Dah BEARZZZ "
🐻⬇️
CJ Stroud has done Caleb no favours by increasing expectations of what a rookie QB should be able to achieve. If I were a Bears fan, I'd be limiting my expectations for this season to having signs he will develop into a top 10 QB, rather than expecting him to be one immediately. That just seems like setting the lad up to fail.
I Love Rich😂😂😂
This was such an awkwardly paced video 😂
He's just getting hard thinking about it all. The passion for the game
MVP candidate incoming
They have the dolphins on hard knocks right now❤❤
Make it to a Superbowl first, Williams, Stafford and Goff are the 2 active #1 pick QBs to get there
I think Caleb will be good, GM and head coach all in alignment and drafted him. The team supported him with weapons and O Line support. He should do very well. But I don’t think he’ll be the all time great everyone excepts of him. The expectations are just sky high
Is lemar a unicorn. Is burrow a unicorn. Is Stroud a unicorn. Is love a unicorn. How many guys can be unicorns
"Is Love a Unicorn?" sounds like an album I would hate listening to.
No, a lemur as a lemur
Nothing against him, but Love doesn’t have rare skills
@@Duffyartwork I disagree. There are literally only a handful of humans on the planet who can run an NFL offense at a high level. Love can. It's very rare.
Hell, I'd say any dude who can make an NFL roster as a QB is rare because again, an extremely small number of humans actually can do this.
Now...Love's skills compared to other NFL QBs? Well above average for sure, but he'll have to have sustained great seasons to be "rare" by that definition.
Just 5 out of 100
Bears also have Carolina’s 2nd rd pick in 2025 which will be the first pick of second round 😃
Fix the damn mic interference!
Nerd
2010 and counting. Talk to me when they make it to the conference Championship
That schedule looked easy
Just looked at their schedule. If they steal a game from the packers and handle their business against the Vikings they can easily win 8-9 games…. Possibly 9-10…. And for everyone even hinting he could be mahomes esque…. Caleb doesn’t have Andy Reid, Travis and tyreke and could sit a year…. So let’s not expect greatness right away
They won 7 games last year (should have been 9 or 10) and are better at every position group this year with an easy schedule. They're going to win 10+ barring serious injuries
Caleb has the best receiving core in the league he has three blue chip receivers and two good TE and a great back in swift he got weapons. I don’t know how long it’s going to take him to adjust to the speed a game or 2 but when he does it’s going to be pretty good
@@samismith8752 idk about 10+ but I can see 9-10 which is great for them!!
I’m a diehard bulls fan, that’s my favorite team, but as my pops likes to say Chicago is a bears city and we’re a football town. Chicago is dominated by the bears and we have sucked my entire life besides for like 4-5ish anomaly years.
4/7 for 95 yards
Caleb Williams will just be another in the line of succession of USC QB's who's careers NEVER lived up to expectations. He showed who he was in his performance against Notre Dame last season when he was faced with relentless pressure. He held up about as well as a cigarette butt in a urinal. The Packers and Jordan Love will continue to OWN Da' Bears for another decade and Williams will go the way of every other Bears QB.
Did USC have an offense like this with so many gosh darn weapons you don’t know what to do?
I’m happy for Chicago. I’ve been saying bears getting their Mahomes savior is just like us. Except the rest of the team is even more loaded than when pat got here. Going to be intriguing to see what Mahomes’ rookie year may have gone like. I got bears winning 10 games but looking better than even a 10 win team just like the packers did under love
He’s the bears franchise quarterback he’ll be fine they’ll run and play defense but he’ll have his shots .
You're a little early with the Koolaid bruh
The same people saying Caleb is going to dominate are the same people saying Fields was going to dominate last year. So as a Bears fan, I will believe it when I see it.
I actually think Caleb is good and can be a good NFL QB.. but that doesn't mean Eberflus has any idea what he's doing or they'll assemble an offensive line. This team hasn't had a good offensive line since like 2013. 2018 they were ok, nothing good. Hopefully Shane Waldron is good.
@@cefb8923 Bingo. We still have the worst coach in the division, and the team seems like it was built from the outside in.
As a bears fan I agree.
Wrong, the people saying Fields was going to dominate are now steelers fans
@@cefb8923 Was Lovie Smith a good coach?
Loved what you were saying. But sounded like your gummies already kicked in 😜. BEAR DOWN
I think Caleb Williams will adjust to the NFL game a little bit quicker than Justin because Justin had a really good offensive line at Ohio State and he had plenty of time to throw the ball which is why he didn’t struggle so much. Caleb Williams played great even though he had a terrible offensive line And his receiving group wasn’t nearly as talented so adjusting to the NFL game won’t be as difficult for Caleb Williams I believe because of the way he had to play at USC.
Every NFL QB prospect has two main things that can derail a career: difficulty adjusting to the NFL game and injuries. We'll see if Caleb can avoid both.
(7 WEEKS INTO THE SEASON)
oh yeah, he went to usc, why did we think he was going to be good? why do we keep forgetting about usc qbs?
A Rookie is a Rookie. I'm not seeing anything that shows otherwise. New QB ...New OC...New System....shaky O line. And a HC that has won 10 games in 2 years. Maybe by year 3....this year? 6 or 7 wins. 😊
Motherload... lol. Love it
Caleb Williams better never lose a game for how much praise he gets.
Gosh, why don't we have them play a game before you start anointing him
"We need to move on from _____"
"This prospect is going to be a superstar. We need to spend all of our draft capital to get him."
"Ignore the haters. He's the real deal and could take us to the Super Bowl."
Bears will put it together when they hire a coach who can run an offense.
Bear Down
After watching Hard Knocks, I don't see Eberflus being the right person to carry this team to the playoffs. He doesn't motivate or inspire his players like any other coach I've seen on Hard Knocks. As far as Caleb Williams, I saw poor foot work but a great, strong arm. I also don't think his coaching staff is really getting him prepared for the upcoming season...it's still early but I'm not seeing an onus on getting Caleb to be a leader and proficient in the offense. We will see but so far I'm not impressed.
Nope the dude is dull, and isn’t a good coach
The Bears started off 0-4 last year and stretched their losing streak to something like 17 straight games and yet the team never gave up on him. By the later part of the season they were making a playoff push and the defense was dominating. Hard Knocks isn't a good way to evaluate a coach.
Wish they fired Eberflus and went after Harbaugh or at lest Vabrel
After week 10 its a straight meat grinder of a schedule
Needs o line help badly!
We'll see if the Bears got lucky? Only time will tell. Our line is pretty bad.
All the weapons Caleb has been provided with
Ready to roll? Someone hasn't been paying attention to the local news coming out of camp.
Nobody ever talks about the O line. Tom Brady couldn't play behind a crappy O-line
I bet they all said the same about JaMarcus Russel...Caleb looked horrible whenever USC played an equal opponent. Its going to be very rough for him
Let’s pump the brakes on Caleb until we see how he plays in the Chicago winter. I don’t think he’s ever played for a cold city team and Chicago is brutal in the winter.
Just like RFJ jr taking out the Bears 💀💀
Rich’s Chicago accent is rough…
The mic whine is soo bad 🤡
I said, even though that’s his dad they’re in trouble anyway they’re still gonna get fired if they don’t exceed the whole team But don’t wanna❤❤

I have seen skeptical then hype. Is Caleb generational or not? We’ll find out.
Peyton IS one of the GREATS.. BUT so is Marshal Faulk.
Rookie quarterback in hard division... will not be pretty
I have a prop bet that Caleb Williams will be the most bought jersey in Europe by week six Game time. haha
We'll see week 1, when Big Jeff turns Caleb into a human toothpick, to help clean the Aaron Rodgers out of his teen in week 2. Titan Up!
As a bears fan the more and more this goes on it just feels like the same old same old. Flus is still unproven, the lines are not good and its a rookie QB. We haven't played a game and people are already saying SB is in sight.... we have been here before, heard this before and lets all chill out until the Bears can beat the Fackers
FGB
He shoulda kept #13 …. 18 looks awful and just seems a tad weird
Don’t give me hope rich 😢
obviosly havent heard the news out of training camp. No one hates the bears more than bears beat reporters
The Bears offensive line sucks - better hope the backups can play.
The way he fell apart after a college loss should have bears fans nervous...
Carolina cant catch a break 😂
Without Jones softening the secondary, Love will struggle.
This is the same kiss of death that Rich gave the Raiders.
Isn’t it funny how a man who fought the establishment his whole life gets bashed by establishment media? Classic 🚬
Bear fans relax. This season they will find out/assess who won’t be on the team for 2025. Imagine being a DE on the team now and you don’t get a chance to show them what you got. O Line will be fixed in the 2025 draft. Poles wants to get younger so they can compete for awhile. Enjoy the beginning of something being built. Quit listening to 670, First Take about CJ Stroud and Mahomes comparisons. Does anyone know who CJ Stroud Offensive coordinator is? He’s not Andrew Luck yet is being treated as such. He will be sacked 60+ times and has never ran an offense with verbiage let alone NFL verbiage so let’s see how he reacts to that and then decide cuz as of right now he is nowhere near Andrew Luck so stop it.
