Demolition of the crown and anchor inn public house on rolfe street in smethwick. a once lively pub that opened around 1851 and later shut down on the 7th of september 1975 and reopened as a factory called tankson textiles. tankson textiles eventually shut down leaving behind the empty vessel of the crown and anchor to rot and decay for decades until its eventual demolition startingon the 11th of july 2022 and ending on the 12th with the land being cleared over the following month. as of uploading this video the site is a vacant fenced of waste ground as seen in the bottom image on the thumbnail. it is set to be replaced by a 4 storey apartment block with retail units on the ground floor. the waste ground of this site can be seen in one of my previous uploads at 8;32 • 54A Bus Journey.
