On the dahlias - my white and cafe au laits were damaged by insects - perhaps plant those in the hoop house???
I cover with organza bags to keep off the bugs

I use starter fertilizer in the spring when I plant. I did not fertilize these winter plantings

That would be awesome! Yes the cheap ones break for sure - I’ve seen that. Best to get quality and they will last years and yearsv
