@@zerkig9058 I could see it! Jake and some rogue humans stealing a ship and taking Eywa’s seeds to Earth to save it would be a cool storyline. I even feel like Eywa could’ve been the one who drew Jake to Pandora to begin with (in the opening scene of the first movie we see Pandora’s landscape with Jake’s voice narrating and discussing a dream he had which seemed to describe him being on Pandora). Idk how that sort of communication across space would work but I could imagine a planetary scale consciousness/entity being capable of such a feat.

So many people are bashing Avatar Way of Water. They say the story is just a rehash of the first part. All I can say is I loved it. It transported me to a different world, it made me feel genuine emotions, it made me cheer and clap for a whale and at the end I was teary eyed with an emotional smile on my face. What more can you ask for in a commercial blockbuster?
While the movie is a technical marvel and worth seeing for that reason alone. It very much the exact same movie as the first one. A Half Na'vi/Human hybrid (Jake/Lo'ak) finds himself in a new clan and tries to integrate himself in their culture learning their ways while fostering a romantic relationship with Neytiri/Tuk, while the humans encroach on their land/ocean in search of a valuable resource (Unobtanium/Whale Brain goo) all the while a paramilitary officer (Quaritch) hunts after them. The movie even follows several scenes beat for beat (Jake running from the Thanator and hiding under tree roots while it smashes its face trying to break through and reach him/Lo'Ak swimming away from the Akula and hides under root like coral reefs while it smashes its face trying to break through and reach him). A full hour of them running through the jungle/swimming in their ocean to show off the planet's biome etc. It's not a very good movie by any stretch of the imagination, but it definitely is an incredible theatrical experience.

I love the concept that if Pandora is real, then an afterlife canonically exists on Pandora. For us humans, if religion turns out to be wrong, there is no afterlife for us but in Pandora, the interconnected lifeforms of the trees, plant life and even marine organisms form a super structure of neural activity that expands across the entire biosphere of Pandora absorbing the consciousness of every animal and every person that died. And in this vast sea of consciousness, everyone who passed away continues to live on. A biological afterlife.
