In this video i will show you how to replace a thermostat and coolant replacement.
Nissan Micra K11 Coolant and thermostat change is a job that anyone can do at home, you just need to follow the steps in the video.
In the video i just made one diwater cleaning/replacement procedure, but you can flush your system or repeate the process until you get clean diwater.
In my case i will replace the hoses, so i will need to replace the coolant again.
Its really important the thermostat position, always setup the thermostat with the pin to the top.

Ya no tengo el coche y no me acuerdo exactamente. Depende del motor que tenga tu coche.

Hey man, thanks so much for doing this Micra videos in English. They are extremely helpful and motivating too. I have a 1994 1.3LX K11 too. Very happy with it - want to keep it forever.
I would like to know what type of fuel do you use. In the UK we only have E10 petrol and E5 (more expensive in a few petrol stations). Apparently, this E10 is corrosive on fuel lines and many other parts. Are you worried about this or are you using some additives to counter act what ethanol does to your Micra? Jus asking for advice really.
Hey Silvestre How are you man? Its not easy to me do speak in English to a camera, but Im doing my best 😀.
Actually about petrol in Portugal we use Petrol 95 and 98 wich is E5 and E10... I only use E5/95 and i never had problems on Micra... But in a Audi A3 1.6 8L, i had already replaced fuel lines 2 Times...
There is still E5 lying around in some petrol station but you have to pay considerably more for that.
I will start researching about some good fuel lines that are ethanol resistant. Take care man and love your Micra videos. Excellent job!

Can you tell me what symptoms the car had with the thermostat faulty? I think my Micra also has a faulty thermostat, but I'm not sure.
Hi... The Symptoms it will depend for example if he is stuck open or close... If he is stuck close will overheat for sure... If he is open the car wont reach the 90 degress stable, probably will go down when driving and only go to 90 degress if if stop the car in trafic, red light or something... if stuck half open the temperature will be irregular. Hope it helps.

Hi... Nop... I dont remember the brand that i installed on that one ( It was long time ago) but i usally i dont use the cheapest brands... Choose a Good Brand, thermostats are cheap in general.

Podrían ser varias cosas.
- Hay un problema crónico en el Micra, que es un fallo en la Torre de Inyección (Esto es muy común)
- Toma de aire del motor (alguna manguera dañada)
- Sensor de velocidad lenta defectuoso
- Sincronización del motor
- Cuerpo del acelerador sucio
- Algún problema eléctrico por ejemplo un cable de masa defectuoso.
Intenta comprobar primero los más sencillos

Compruebe si hay tubos dañados o si el cuerpo del acelerador está sucio. Estas son las cosas más sencillas de comprobar. Ese síntoma podría ser varias cosas.

No, este modelo sólo tiene un radiador en el circuito de refrigeración del motor.
Pero, ¿se refiere sólo a los sistemas de refrigeración del motor? Si te refieres a la refrigeración del motor sí, sólo tiene 1.

El ventilador sólo se enciende en una situación de emergencia, es decir, cuando no hay suficiente aire natural para refrigerar el motor. Cuando el aire no es suficiente hay aire forzado, lo que se hace mediante el ventilador. Sólo se enciende cuando la temperatura sube por encima de lo normal (90 grados)... ¿Su coche se sobrecalienta? ¿Supera los 90 grados?
