- Join me for a FULL DAY of thrifting adventures! We'll go to four different thrift stores and when we're done, I'll show you each one of my finds. Stay tuned until the end of the video for a peak at my recent ebay listings and an appearance from Iris and Indy.
Here's the link to my ebay store: www.ebay.com/str/worthingtonhome
My sister has a set of the Fransican ware that belonged to our Grandmother. There are like a hundred pieces of it. My grandmother used it for years. It is quite old and quite beautiful.
It's amazing how well the pattern has held up over time, isn't it? It's just as nice today as it was when it came out. Your sister is lucky to have your Grandmother's set!
You do a great job of showing what’s in the store and an even better job of narrating 😊
Thank you so much! Looking forward to our thrifting trip!
Really enjoy your videos, knowledge, your animals, so cute!! Well done!!! Thank you
Thank you so much!
Carol! I loved seeing your home! Shows your personality so well! All the color! So happy and cheerful❤ and takes me back to my childhood since I think we’re probably close to the same age❤ love all your collections and how you display them🥰🥰🥰 happy Easter! Jesus lives❤
Thank you so much! I hope you have a Happy Easter too!
I'm just like my momma and her sisters-in-law. I want ALL the dishes.
First time seeing your channe. Thanks for keeping me awake until my brown rice finished cooking.
I'm glad I kept you awake and didn't put you to sleep! 😂 Thank you for watching and taking the time to leave me a comment!
Beautiful teapot makes for beautiful floral arrangements! 😉
Agreed! My cats would love to eat the flowers and then break the teapot in about one second flat! 😂
Lots of great stuff
Thank you!
I have the same Kitchen Prayer plate, I found it at a flea market. I love it.
It's so charming! Sometimes it's the little details that makes a home feel cozy.
I just discovered your channel and love it. Looking forward to viewing past and new videos.
Welcome! I'm so glad you found me! Thanks for taking the time to send me a comment!
18:22 love the hand painted plates 20:30 nice buffet looks like they have some really nice furniture in there
I really like the hand painted plates as well! Thank you so much for watching!
Just wouldn’t be a thrift haul without the pie plates! 😊
They seem to stalk me!
@@WorthingtonHome - 😹😹😹
I loved that green pitcher and bowl with the holly motif, I would have loved to have bought that for myself (but very difficult when I live in the UK). Loving your channel, just subscribed 😊
They were also VERY heavy! I can only imagine the shipping that would be involved! Thanks so much for watching! I hope your weather in the UK is better than what we're having here (rain, rain and more rain).
The German beer mug you picked up is a nice find. I collect them. Made in West Germany, salt glazed stoneware is well made and heavy duty. The prices on line are all over the place. I’ve seen $20 for 1 mug, even more on other sites. I believe HB stands for Hofbrauhaus Munich Beer. This one might be from the 60’s.
I love how big and chunky they are! They must make an interesting collection!
Always enjoy your videos, Happy Easter ♥️
Thank you! You too!
Some collectors and resellers love the staining and crazing on dishes.
I rather like it as well - a lot of my own pieces have crazing, in particular. Unfortunately, it negatively impacts the resell value overall, which seems silly to me.
I would have bought the lustreware teapot if it had been $2, people collect that, and that could be used for flowers or a table decoration. It’s pretty stuff, but I inherited a Kutani geishaware tea set from my great-grandmother, I am always looking for that. I had one teacup, after 30 years I found a very close match to complete the set. No perfect match with that! I have a friend who has a tea set of rose medallion, the cups and saucers match and that’s all. It’s so beautiful it doesn’t matter if the patterns are mixed.
It was so pretty! I agree, it would make a lovely planter or vase. I'm not familiar with your tea set, but now I'm going to look it up so I know what you're looking for!
l love your cats
Thank you! They're adorable, but also a handful!
Hello from Glastonbury U.K. site of burial place of King Arthur, Chalice Well where the holy Grail found ,Glastonbury monastery and Tor
Hello to you! Thank you so much for watching!
I think you found some nice things in this videos outing. I was really tempted to tell you if you see those fish salt and pepper the next time youmgo out, to pick them up but after a second look I don't think the made in China are the best quality pieces. But they were quite cute!
They were adorable, but had a chip in the fin. Otherwise I would have picked them up for sure.
I wonder if the majority of chips and other damage happens at the Thrift stores. The home goods are handled so roughly by staff.
I suspect that you're right. In fact, I often hear things breaking in the background when I'm out thrifting!
I had a luster ware tea pot but I sold it . I wish I didn't now.
We've all done that from time to time. You can't keep everything (although I try!) 😂
Scott from Old Curiosity Shop is excellent resource for 1920s through 1960s. He is excellent with glass items.
I found him and Antique Nomad too. Both great sites.
I love his channel! I watch him regularly. Antiques Nomad is also a favorite of mine.
The Franciscan Ware with the apple decoration is sought out more so from made in California rather than the later made in England version. So keep aware where it was made when picking up. Look for the butter dishes, those sell well and a nice amount.
That's a great tip! Thanks for sharing!
Abebooks has the Science of Food & Cookery from $ 9.95 to $22.05, if it was the leather version that was listed for $35.00.
Good to know! I haven't listed it yet, so that gives me a ballpark. I appreciate it!
