Agreed. I’ve spent the majority of my life healing from trauma that the person who was supposed to love me caused. Been to the depths of Hell because of it. I used to be annoyed by these puff pieces, but I've grown to love them. It's so nice in the midst of all the horrific things we see on the news to be reminded of the good that also exists in people.

My (no rhythm having) dad and (too cool for school) big brother would learn my dance routines bc I practiced to much at home. I’d look up and one would be on the couch or in a doorway rocking the modern/contemporary/ballet/jazz/whatever moves with a giant grin. It always made me feel so special (and giggly).
Every girl should be lucky enough to have a Dad like him. Thank you for serving our great country too. What a great story the love can be seen between them both & thats rare

I love this dude! Way to go, Sergeant! When I was on active duty and I was back at home, I would make it a point to be at all of my kids' school functions. I also had my wife record their events and send the recordings to me while I was on deployment. It's hard being gone and even harder on your kids who just want their mom or dad home safely with them.
This made me smile from ear to ear! She hopefully realizes what a FANTASTIC FATHER she has! I would have loved my father to have been with me like this! Praise God for this man!
My husband didn’t actually know the cheers but he was very into our daughter’s competition team. They awarded him a signed megaphone and made him cheer dad for class of 2008!
