- A celebration of the reopening of our pubs with a gentle reminder which type of beer we should all be drinking!
For more than 400 years our family have sung from our collection of old English songs that has been handed down from generation to generation. We are two members of the Copper Family of Sussex and we are exploring what traditions are, what they mean and how relevant they are in an ever changing world. Starting with our own collection of songs and our home county we are going to see what other deep roots there are out there! - Hudba
Dancing in the Old Ale in Harvey's Yard - I was probably there somewhere :)
Always a fun event, will be sadly missed this year if it can't go ahead.
Brilliant, song near a dear to my heart
Thanks much for watching. It's very dear to ours too!
Like the subtle editing! That phrase always alarms anyone overhearing when I’m playing a recording of that song. I can listen to this version now if I ever have company.
Thanks Stuart. We edited just as Gramps did, with a nod and a raised glass to Grandma!
@@deeprooted1579 Ha ha! I see my version is dated 1955 .......
This is not a song about the joys of drinking, it is a song about alcoholism. The editing lessens its impact.
I love that you edited it according to your grandparents. I also would feel uncomfortable singing that line x
