The appreciation level when viewing this amazing 4k footge cannot be explained highly enough to those who didn't grow up during the 1950s and onward. Being 68 now, I remember my family's old Zenith b&w square TV with the two large dials on the top front left and right sides and the fabric screen covering the speaker on the bottom front. Not to mention the rabbit ears antenna on top to pull in the best picture quality possible. That was during the early to mid 1960s. Finally, we were able to afford our first color TV, an RCA, in 1968. All the while, even though the excitement of seeing television programs in color was one of life's biggest joys, picture quality was still nothing to write home about (though no one ever gave that a thought then). Now, 6 decades on, 4k technology brings images such as this Costa Rica video so much realism, they seem as though they could pop right off my screen! My appreciation for this technology is off the wall!

On a large 4K panel, this is stunning. It's hard to explain, it's like looking through a big window into another dimension or something. Amazing how real it all looks. This is fantastic footage.
50" @ 8K is where the magic really happens, when pixels aren't visible even when you press your nose up against it. With good source material, it really looks like a window.

This is probably my most watched video at this point. Every time I set up a screen for someone or change some settings I throw this video on. It's so beautiful and vibrant. The colors are incredible, also super happy it's upbeat but relaxing music really makes the process enjoyable.
Me too, I test my PC and other things with this video. It's among the 1st one to pop up in search so that helps :D
Right now I have this odd thing going, I was worried, for some reason I can't watch videos above 720p on Twitch so come here to test out things. I managed to watch up to 4K with no issues minus the few buffers at the start since I doubt my internet would manage 4K videos anyway.
Still odd that on Twitch even by turning off everything in background videos are black screen when I select 1080p or don't even load.
And few other websites basically freeze the page when you select 4K.
While here on YT, DailyMotion and Vimeo can watch anything. The best picture quality so far was on Vimeo.
Also tested 60fps and other variants too. I think Twitch doesn't even support 60fps since I can't remember ever even seeing that much of a frame rate ever on there even when 1080p videos worked ...
Also I added more RAM into my PC so it's weird to see that no matter how much RAM you add the browsers eat ram like a cake. Case and point how new OS and codes are broken and who ever made and keeps making these are pathetic ''developers'' that should change their jobs asap and let pros fix it.
Imagine opening 10 tabs and not being able to do anything. Lets say about 10 years ago I ran 50 tabs and had an video editing program open so as photoshop on potato machines... Even 3-4 years back things worked better, it already had issues but was bareable while today it's really pathetic how things are now.
@@minmogrovingstrongandhealthy learn a bit about programming or something, that would help you understand why things take as much ram as they do, and hopefully fix up that spicy take you have... as tech moves forward, things will use up MORE, NOT less... there will NEVER be a change to that, no matter how much you hope and dream.

@@minmogrovingstrongandhealthy Unused RAM is wasted RAM... it is storing things in there for quick access rather than having to constantly read and write to the disk and degrade the SSD. If your computer needs to use more RAM it'll free space as and when needed, modern OS's are good at this. I only have have 16GB RAM and can easily have 50+ tabs open whilst working on raw images in Lightroom and exporting 4k video at the same time. Maybe there's a different issue, like your CPU or GPU?

color isnt 100% true to real life, some colors just come out stronger in video than in real life, and cameras focus quite differently when compared to human eyes.

I also have 1080p monitor but watching it 4k 60fps still gives a better image. Of course not as much as on a 4k screen but still it's there! CZcams sadly scales down videos to a relatively small file size I guess thats the difference.
