I switched to thumbs lol
Interesting lol
Impressive! Here’s some extra notes to give to players:
1. If you choose to play with indexes, be careful not to overdo because tapping fingers too hard are more cautious than thumbs.
2. Make sure your index taps match the way you hear the song. Some songs could be harder to sync with index playing.
3. If you randomly switch to indexes to clear a tough chart, that’s fine! This allows you to figure out the right timing and coordination until you master it on thumbs.
As a thumbs players myself, I utilize indexes as a helping hand to help me master the toughest chart in the game. Now, I’m a pretty great thumbs player!
Great tips!
Good player advice 👍
THANK YOU D1AN 🙏🙏🙏
❤️❤️
I play with index fingers mainly when I need to get a score but I usually play with thumbs whenever I’m playing for fun/getting boxes or if there’s not a desk nearby
Makes sense
As a thumb player from the start it was a bit difficult to switch to the index finger, but these tips help a little when playing with the index finger
That's good and yeah it can definitely be a jarring switch
I'm trying to go through indexes for just one thing.
first, however, I want to say that I have always been a player who played with my thumbs, some say that it is more difficult, even if I have always been used to this, I only need 2 songs to make perfect, and for the thumbs they are very difficult to do, so I'm learning to use indexes, to see if I can succeed.
I repeat that the advice was very useful to me, especially the synchronization!
Thanks again.
and I can say that playing with the indexes is more fun and you are more in tune with the song.
I also add that I bring BEATSTAR to my channel!😊
🙏🙏
I can play with indexes too and It does seem my stamina is better. However my accuracy is worse
Yeah seems to be the trade off most of the time
thumb supremacy.

I usually play more with my thumbs than my index fingers. But, man, Hallowed Be Thy Name or Tornado of Souls, they are really difficult songs to complete because of the speed and the notes that don't let you rest during the phases.
Also songs like What A Man Gotta Do and Fancy Like (both Deluxe versions), sliding the diagonals with thumbs is too uncomfortable because they are placed in such a strange way that you have to apply a lot of effort than with the index fingers.
Thanks for your video! I'm gonna switch from thumbs to indexes
Glad I could give some tips that are helpful
I didn’t know who to ask this question, after all, it’s better to play with your index fingers or thumbs, but after watching the video I think. probably index, but I would like my answer
I mean personally I'd say index but everyone has a preference
This guide is super helpful man I really appreciate it! I may actually give index’s a shot, but I don’t think I’ll be as good as I am on thumbs
❤️❤️
Thanks for the tips but I’m gonna be a thumbs player for life. I enjoy the extra challenge
Hey, each playstyle has their challenges but if you have your heart set on thumbs i don't want you changing lol
i started on index switched to thumbs because i started playing on mobile i started on ipad but middle finger is actually really usefull for doubles
Interesting
Switched from thumbs to indexes 1.5 years ago. I have sort of "gaming setup" for Beatstar. An old phone case with double side tape😅. I mostly not using it for standards. Only for DX where swipes will make your phone fly around.
Tbh I'm really struggling cause of tapping too hard. I put too much energy in those taps, so I always struggle with fast trills or charts like Godzilla/ToS DX.
Right hand middle finger is a personal saviour with charts like Avalon DX. Idk how to keep up with those rapid doubles. But still I'm trying to use indexes only in most of the charts. Just to practice and make them faster.
Sounds like you've got the strats lol
You convinced me to try
👀
I really need this. Thank you.
👍❤️
Im decent enough to dp some extremes on indexes but where i really shine is indexes on other games like tap tap reloaded, geometry dash and others. Also instead of using tape i use a phone case with a wallet on the side-i really dont know what its called- it seems to kerp it stable for the most part. Also my problem is really getting the index rhythm in beatstar for slower songs. I think these tips are really useful, thanks for the vid!
❤️👀
I woukd love be an index player, but I’m blind. I don’t want to be the hunchback of Beatstar, since I need to hold my phone an inch away from my face. That being I’ve been playing for a year and I’m in top 100 which is cool.
That's awesome!
I am decent with index but I will try those tips out.
👀❤️
Thanks!!❤
❤️
I think im gonna go with staying with thumbs but it would be cool if i can play on thumbs and fingers so if i dicide to learn fingers i can use these tips
Definitely a good skill to have!
I play Beatstar with my index fingers.
😎
I should've started to play with indexes but I feel like it's too late now since I've been playing for so long 😂 I actually play with my left thumb and right index finger, since that's how I use my phone anyway. I can't play with thumbs only since my thumbs are so short that I can't reach all the tiles 😂 But even playing with thumb + index combo I have sometimes hard time reaching to all the tiles. So if I was just starting to play now, I would definitely try to go with index only.
I've heard people play that way but honestly can't wrap my mind around it lol
@@D1aN-Beatstar Haha I completely understand, I guess it only feels natural for the people who anyway use their phones that way :D
I have noticed that with Index fingers, Beatstar will tell me I missed a note when I know I hit it. I never have this problem with thumbs
It could be that you are touching your screen accidentally with your wrist or something else
What configuration do you use on your Samsung gamer hub? Does it give me something when I play fancy songs? Please help?
Nothing special, most of the stuff is turned off actually as I found it makes the game run worse
for me could have been useful like a month ago but i already switched and how hard is anomalies I just got it
Not that hard
How do i start getting on perfect+ with indexes
A good place to start would just be finding a good sync and then just practice a lot
