Fenders, gibsons, and samick dominate the world market for guitars. Im not saying they aren't popular, I'm simply saying, guitars for metal is most definitely a "niche market". Where you can argue, is what determines a "metal guitar"... Mayones are 100% "niche" market. Thats why they are so expensive though lol
That doesn't make it a niche market. If that was the case, then classical, jazz, blues etc would be considered 'niche' as well. Besides, the 'niche market' in question was guitars built for the genre, not the genre itself. And besides your fenders and cheap knockoffs thereof, guitars built for metal pretty much take up one of the biggest chunks of the guitar market.
im talking about custom shops. look at this hilarious price and then compare the guitars with a siggi braun or frank hartung guitars. or a hapas, sandberg, etc. it stays fucking too much money for that piece of guitar.
Heavy Metal is 100% a niche market. Whens the last metal album that went gold, much less platinum.... Unless you consider metallica "heavy metal", its really a small genre in the grand scheme of things.

Funny they were budget guitars in the 80s and 90s. Now they're amongst the most expensive boutique guitars.

wow. could you have used studio sound samples that were any worse? maybe try using a real mic that won't clip or have the amp turned down.
