One of the shipper by accident or not had posted shipper to broker rate on BOL their rate was 1400 and they paid to us 800 so if this few low cost brokers earn 80% on margin how much are those expensive ones making???

How much do you think the broker should have kept out of that 1400? Just curious

@@adriane9284 some kind avg that i find around on load such is this one broker should charge around $250 which is around 20%, just curious what is your opinion??? And FYI if our driver didn't have to go home we would never take that load because after driver pay, fuel, tolls and all other fees we did't make any money but at least it paid the driver, fuel&tolls.

@@djjdhfnfndnfjdkwj 1. Low salary pay for what you are required to do in the sales pipeline (prospect, call, close, track, call dispatch). They make you work over 40 hours a week.
      2. The turnover rate is like 90% the first year.
      3. Many times managers will take clients away from you unfairly. It can get sleezy.
If that's the best job available for you at the moment I say give it a shot. TQL did teach me a lot about the sales pipeline and customer relations/closing skills... Overrall it's a good starter sales job. Hope this helps.

Guess OP deleted my reply... It's a decent 'starter' sales job. If you have experience in sales, go elsewhere. The pay vs what they require you to do is terrible. In 2020 I was making 36.5k for working 45-hour weeks. You need to prospect, convince customer to ship with you, find a truck, convince that driver to work with you, book, monitor the entire routing, email customer about trucking details (pipe stake reqs, etc.) and pry more loads out of customer. You must do this over and over and over until you become a "4k broker" to which then you finally get your commission check. To put TQL in perspective, most ppl don't make it to the commission check milestone. 90% are fired or leave within the first 12 months. Unless this job is somehow the best available option for you, do yourself a favor and find something better.@@robertsmith-zq3ni
