Plus we are biased, if we succed is the result of hardwork, if we fail is fault of others. One philosopher said once till 30 yr, you are left leaning, then till 50 yr, you are right leaning, and from 50 yr till you die you become reactionary.

I remember the interview. It ended up with Russell making a humorous quip about Paxman's beard, and Paxman sneering: "ugh, you're a trivial person", or words to that effect. At the time I thought it was quite unpleasant, but now I would even say it was unacceptable personal abuse. Though I don't agree with with Russell on a lot of things, Paxman had no right to denigrate and dismiss him. Part of the problem with professional media people is that they have a massively overinflated opinion of there own status/importance. Russell has as much right to his opinions as Paxman&Co - and he should be free to express himself in a flamboyant way.

Accuracy is more important than speed, but Russell exists in this current form because of this..
      'Civilisation' is on trial..
If 'civilisation' is genuine, it should have the capacity to accept a polite 'No, thank you!', when it attempts to infect other forms of being with its pretentiousness. For it can only BE this pretentiousness that fails to offer a civilised opt-out option.
It is as if the 'powers'-that-think-they-should-always-be are giving no option at all, other than "Do as we tell you, or we will turn you into the next 'missing link'.." - And a 'civilisation' built on division through fear and violence is no kind of 'civilisation' at all..
