  • If all the homes in this neighborhood were built exactly the same, then none of their passive radon systems are working. I'll show you what needed to be done in order to TRULY activate a passive radon system in one of these townhomes.

    About 60% of homes in my area with passive systems aren’t done correctly. We always cut the pipe when we arrive to see if it’s into gravel or perforated pipe or just blocked off. There’s nothing worse than completing a job only to find the manometer is maxed out 😂. In your case, you didn’t have that luxury because the pipe was inside the wall. Good job catching it! I’ve seen a lot of guys ignore the manometer reading and hope for the best. Keep up the good work!
