I wonder if the company did not suggest treating the mousepad with Pledge on the website or any of the material presented to the customer so they're not potentially liable for any damages, yet they're comfortable suggesting it through a reviewer to have that layer of separation of responsibility.
In any case I'm glad you didn't test it any other way than a normal customer would. That's the kind of perspective I respect with reviews. Keep it up!

Yeah it's very odd. I rechecked the product pages yesterday and MaxGaming's product page now mentions the pledge treatment but VACNER's own site & LGG still say nothing about it. Very confusing nonetheless though. I do wish the pad came per-treated but even then I think the pad is too flawed to be viable.

@@mel0nFPS it would be more understandable if they just included a bottle of pledge out of the box or pre-treated it from the factory and say "if you want to clean the pad use pledge"
      very weird.
like I get it, pledge can even make some types of rubber glide, but why not advertise "pledge-safe" or smth

Do you know why my skyoad 3.0 feels slow? Ive tried different skates and mice and it still feels slow. I recently tried pledge spray which works but idk if theres a better thing I can do.

Carbon fiber seems like a really weird choice for a mousepad. It’s essentially just an overpriced resin pad in this application. As you don’t really care about the added stiffness (not necessarily strength) from the fibers of carbon, and the reduced weight doesn’t offer any benefit, so it’s strictly just visual. I’d go so far as to say that you’re probably exclusively interacting with the resin component of the composite, otherwise you’d be feeling the weave very disruptively. At best it’s a different type of resin than we’ve seen before.
Fantastic review though, just a weird product.
