Got no idea why am I watching this when I ain't done with learning Kantakana 🤣 I'm also learning Korean too but Korean is my main priority. I use the premium for Korean pod 101 and I haven't tried using Japanese pod 101(premium). Reason y I wanna learn Japanese is because I like anime a bit and i only started to watch it this yr LOL and I also only learnt Hiragana finish this yr(I startrd learning Japanese few months ago) but i still mix up with some hiragana letter hence, I ain't moving on to Kantakana and honsetly is dam hard to learn Kana. Another reason is because like since Japanese uses chinese(Kanji) I heard ppl that learn Japanese while being Chinese Native speaker, they find it easy that's y I wanna learn. Plus English is our first language in Singapore and I'm Chinese so Chinese is my second mother tongue own language. And since I learnt Korean, ppl say like Japanese grammar is similar to Korean so I'm like y not give it a shot? Also since young I've been dreaming of working in the tourism industry in the future and I like doing hospitality jobs :) so I tot learning more languages will definitely help. Also I'm 17y/o so ye :D I'm turning 18y/o next September :D

Do it! Stay consistent and before you know it you will be multilingual. I began studying Japanese 4 years ago but I was not consistent. Stop and go. Stop and go. Now I'm at the same level. If I had been doing a little every day, I would be fluent now. Time flies like an arrow. I wish I had stayed focused on my target.🤦🏾‍♀️🎯

I used Anki (spaced repetition flashcards) and that really helped me learn both hiragana and katakana. It worked *so* well in fact that I use it 45-60 mins a day to turbo charge my vocabulary and memorizing the Kanji. Once you start using them to constantly sound out words you won't even have to think about them anymore 😁

@@YouNeverKnowWhoIsWatching actually when I was studying Korean, I oso stop and go and I felt like my Korean is much better now. I'm new to Japanese language. Learning all the hiragana letters have already made me gone 🤡🤡 arrg when I first learnt hiragana it was pretty hard but not sure how I perserver. Now when I tried to learn Kantakana the first set I gave up. Maybe I'll nvr get to learn Japanese then :( the letteres is making me goes crazy 🤡🤡 luckily Chinese is my second language but I still gotta learn cuz Japanese use Traditional Chinese and I'm only able to read some Traditional Chinese :< ahh also I'm frm Singapore so we use simplified ver so traditional one might be hard for me :

Cuz of these letters, I ain't moving to learn kantakana :( plus Katakana is hard.

I have identified one obstacle in the common vocabulary lesson. The translation word position is always opposite to the actual statement. So how to catch the structure mind set. This vocabulary lesson is excellent apart from this one issue. Snacks every day eat.But we are told Everyday I eat snacks. Thanks Risa sensei, I would be happy to know your thoughts.

Just a heads-up; the translations are not quite 1-to-1: For example, 'The cows graze in the field' sounds more like 'The cows in the field are eating grass'.
The idea is the same, but one might get confused if they're looking for literal translations.

Cool, I'm Brazilian and currently on a long journey to learn your language XD. I don't know how much you have watched from the video but I follow this series weekly, could you give an insight on what a non-native should be careful? Like, does Risa uses pitch accent properly or she does not give much emphasis? Do you consider the phrases to be "normal" for a daily conversation for example or did you catch some "weird stuff" that caught your attention? Sorry for the long comment rs
