    nice video. My rebuild didn't fix the problem. Still leaking air from the poppet valve. Guess I was just unlucky. Had to buy a new pedal.

      brand new pedal doesn't work either ! Think regulator might be under-pressured. Working on it.

      @@ratandmonkey2982 interesting. What pressure is coming into unit? Can you fully describe problem? There should be full pressure (80 psi) on one large tube going to pedal and the other should blast air out when the pedal is pushed down. What make/model of delivery unit do you have?

      @@DentalEquipmentRepairChannel I wish I had seen your reply days ago. Air from the drive air line to the foot pedal (air from the control head to the pedal) was moving in reverse direction and leaking out the foot pedal valve when the foot pedal was not touched at all. It was not a leak of air coming from the air regulator. I believe I fixed it. Through a lot of diagnostic work, I seemed to trace the problem to the master control block. It was an ASI "advanced endodontics system: delivery unit coupled with an A-Dec chair. I replaced all the "pucks" in the control block and the leak stopped. None of the pucks appeared damaged, but they were pretty well indented through use. Hopefully that keeps things fixed for a while. What a nightmare.

    I have a situation. I can't find a video where anyone goes further down in the toggle repair. Passed the spring and toggle. Mine broke and more parts came out. There an extra pin and a smaller tiny spring as well. Don't know how that goes in first. Please help.

    Why the water in high speed handpeice doesn’t stop immediately ? Is the cause in foot control?

    • @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel
      @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel  Před rokem

      There could be residual pressure in the signal line from the foot pedal. The pressure does need to bleed off in order for the water to stop.

    Cause of water entering the pedal of the dental unit

    • @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel
      @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel  Před 2 lety

      I'm sorry I missed this one. That's a hard issue. You would have to be getting water bypassing at the master block somehow. Perhaps there is moisture in the main air line from the compressor. No water should be going to the foot pedal, only the 1/4" air line.

    • @fransiscoscaramanga674
      @fransiscoscaramanga674 Před 2 lety

      if the compressor is not compromised, no moisture in the tank.... the water must be coming from h/p block, especially if it's an adec unit.... replace the side clear gaskets..

    Cause of water entering the pedal of the dental unit ؟؟

    • @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel
      @DentalEquipmentRepairChannel  Před 2 lety

      The one incoming hose on this pedal is from drive air (1/4") and the two outgoing hoses are handpiece (1/4") and chip air (1/8"). The water would have to be coming from the air inlet (water in air lines) or you have something connected wrong. It could also be a leak in the control block in the delivery unit head. Maybe a bad gasket? Strange things can happen when the gaskets go bad.
      You can check for water in air lines by blowing the air water syringe AIR onto a mirror. It should be dry. If you have moisture in air lines, could be something else with compressor or bad water master valve allowing water to go into your air lines. .
      This is a tough problem that might take a tech onsite to fix.
