He's not wrong about blink dagger you know. His team isn't in a really advantageous position so he can't afford to waste gold on items without stats. If he was winning he'd it'd probably be better to go for blink to be aggressive but with pudge and clock escape with blink is hard.
There's no one else who can initiate + disable on his team. With blink he would be able to immediately hit them and avoid getting kited, effectively dealing much more damage than with the crit item he bought instead (also means he takes less dmg from the enemy = more effective HP). Its the same case as ppl skipping BKB to get damage items, not thinking about how they will deal literally 0 damage when stunned.
