I guess I was blessed. When I told my guidance counselor that I was suicidal and didn’t show up at our next meeting, she drove to my house after school to tell my guardians & check up on me. I appreciated that.

my school counselor just abandons me, Every time we have a session, i ask him for more frequent sessions, he says ok but he just doesn't care. Even if i go ask him again for a session, he says he'll call me next week, but he 'forgets'. It feels like I'm begging for his time. I think he doesn't like me, maybe I'm just too annoying, i don't deserve help.

I genuinely feel bad for people who had guidance counsellors like this in school 😮 I guess I was lucky to have great counsellors growing up.
Ikr. I liked my school counselor. He was a massive bald gigantic white man but he was cool. He was all, "can I let u in on a little secret? None of us know what we're doing. Were all winging it! I'm a hunded & I still don't know what I'm doing!" He went from principal, to counselor to idk. I don't even remember his name. But shout out to him anyways bc I did have it rough. & I really did try reaching but I already felt so vulnerable I'd only tell him parts of everything. For it to be a suburban majority white folks school, they got an asian female principal not long after. Which was a little embarrassing. Bc she'd be chasing me down the hall ways kinda like a mommy. Just like the caring kind. But I know she tried somexs too. Although she was a bit questionable to me bc I'm not reading no memoirs of a geisha
