Desolation - Lamb of God - Guitar Cover [HQ]

Going through a bit of a Lamb of God phase so here's a guitar cover of Desolation from the album Resolution.
On the whole it's not too difficult to play, there's just quite a lot of jumping up and down the lowest string with odd notes that are quite easy to not play.
There's also a slightly odd small chromatic run before the main chorus as well that's unusual and looks very odd to play. Frets 1, 2, 3 are played with the index finger to allow for the rest of the lick to be played without getting your fingers in a tangle.

The usual double tracking with the great LePou 456 amp and a mixture of Marshal and Diezel impulses. It's subtle but there's also some use of the JST widener plugin.
Had a bit of a play using and instrument bus and setting a fast compressor to react to the snare with the aim of stopping it poking through the mix quite so much but still being prominent.
Gear used; My trusty Dean Cadillac Select as always, into a UA-25EX hooked up to Logic X.

TSB-1 Tyrant, Noise Gate, Le456 amp sim, LeCab with a combination of God's cab, Marshall and Diezel Impulses, Stereo Tape delay set to 0 delay so that it acts as tape saturation, and finally a bit of subtractive EQ to just tidy up the sound a bit as always.

Hi, glad you're enjoying Lamb of God 🤘 It's a Dean Cadillac Select - Classic White from around 2008/2009. The pickups are the original passive DMT pickups that came with it.
