My husband and I just celebrated 31 years of marriage yesterday and for the past 23 years we have spent almost everyday together. We started our reselling business about 4 years ago but we've worked together in his other business for 25 years. We started watching your channel before Kayla quit her other job. Keep up the good work and enjoy your time together. BTW, you need to have a T-shirt made that says "I Ain't got no lights!" I'd wear it!

I love watching you and Kayla. I love that you do buy things for $1 or less and sell for $10 and $15 and look at that as a good profit, which I think it's an awesome profit and I would be doing that all the time because $10 is $10 ahead. So many resellers turn their noses up and say no there's no money in that. They won't do things that bring in less than $30 or higher and that to me sounds so wrong because people buy so many of the cheaper things because they can afford them. I would rather sell 5 mugs at $15 verses having 5 things for sale for $40 and not selling.
Do the RV thing 🙌. Life is SHORT. You have no idea what tomorrow bring sir if it WILL. Do it. Do the thing you’re scared to do and would regret not doing in 10 years. Today is it. Live it ❤

I can relate, my wife & I have worked within 10 feet of each other for the past 15 years. People hear that and they're like "That's terrible I could never do that!". But we wouldn't have it any other way, we love it. Great video!

I scored a very tarnished bracelet yesterday at a yard sale for $1 because it looked like it might be a 925 under all the grime. Got it home, cleaned it up, it's a beautiful Italian made 925 3oz bracelet! Woot woot! I never would've looked at the jewelry section before because I thought it was just people getting rid of their cheap stuff, so thanks!!!😊

We’ve sold over $2000 in the past 90 days just selling stuff from our house on eBay. We’ve done about $1500 on FB Marketplace in the last 90 day too. Definitely start with the stuff you have in your house. Great practice and you’ll see if you TRULY want to be a reseller. It’s work. It takes time.

This was so fun to watch
The last 3 years I’ve been selling mostly stuff I’ve had, sports cards, hot wheels, tools, clothes and whatever we don’t use or need. Of course we still goto GW, church rummage sales and some others once in a while. But made about 10G each of the last 3 years just barely doing eBay, maybe 60 items listed at most. Lol
Things are VERY slow these days. 😢 I finally sold 2 items today, but its been a little over a week since I sold the last item. 😔
I sell at local auction about once month. Farming community...log chains, gas cans, etc. I watch what things bring and source for auction as well as ebay. Keeps money flowing.
It is a beast.. fun.. but a lot! That's why people do yard sales - one and done, they don't want all the hassle. There's something for everyone :)

I am only a PT reseller & even I think reselling is a lot of work! I have no interest in doing it FT & thankfully I don’t have to. Another reseller I watch opened a thrift store where resellers rented a booth & she also had stuff for sale. The store made it for about a year then closed. She had a lot of problems with the landlords, the booth renters, & more. Definitely not worth the headache she went through all that time.
When you are doing something you like, you are not really working.
On days where inventory is low or I’m just tired, I just end 5-10 postings and “Sell Similar” to keep the eBay algorithm happy
I’m on eBay seller as well we usually sell about 7 to 8 things daily and it’s slow down a lot in the past several weeks I’m thinking it’s because of what’s happening in the world right now unfortunately

The auction house would be good to make more money off the storage units. You would box up like items and they would go in lots, and the furniture could sell as is.

I've bought so many things I don't need and even years down the road sold several things on ebay. I'd love to retire and resale. Love what ya'll do. Love your openness and honesty about things. I'll ask a question for you and the crowd. I live in a rural area with very few yard sales or thrift stores. How would you be able to gain items without those two things?
in my opinion, you really wouldn’t be able to do it other than telling everybody that you know you are doing ebay full-time so if they have anything they don’t want or need, maybe you could buy it from them or they would donate it to you?

- Do you practice non attachment? Say you bought a table, you need one and this one creates a space and function better than you imagined. You paid $200 and after a search you find that the only two identical tables listed, sold for $4,000. Would you keep it or sell it. Why?

How do you keep track of every item you buy, as far as price, so you can deduct that when it sells, and mean old Uncle Sam wants his cut. I was told you need receipts for everything you sell. You don't get receipts from buying at yard sales.
there are to methods - we use the cash method - much easier for us - so cash in cash out then we have a bookkeeper and an account for taxes through the year

As you are struggling to find quality inventory, perhaps it is time to go through your storage and look for all those items that you once listed, but ebay dropped. I bet you'll find quite a few things, at least a days worth of listings if not a weeks worth!

I would NOT do a store front. I did and I felt like a caged lion. While waiting for people to come in all I could do was think of other things that could be being done. Or one of you are in the store and the other is out sourcing by themselves.

How do you handle offers? Like do you just take them to get stuff sold? Do you counter? If you counter, do you see a sale? Do you set your offer minimums on each listing? I am jus starting so listing smaller items with smaller profit so I can learn on the small stuff, but find the offer process a pain. Looking to streamline it somewhat. Any suggestions appreciated.
