- Drivelapse video heading northerly through the Dallas Metroplex starting on the recently widened section of I-35E and heading through Downtown and then following the Dallas North Tollway from its start at I-35E northerly beneath I-635, the President George Bush Turnpike, and the Sam Rayburn Tollway to the US-380 interchange.
I love Texas freeways! Especially the interchanges! On February 3rd and 4th, I’m heading to downtown Dallas to go to a convention! So the drive would be fun!
Great drive! Did you know Georgia state recently joined the E-ZPass for the use of Express Lanes alongside Peach Pass in July of 2023? Peach Pass users can now use the system where E-ZPass is accepted in selected states: Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky (alongside RiverLink), Georgia as stated above, Maine, Rhode Island, Florida (alongside SunPass, LeeWay, and E-Pass), Maryland, and North Carolina (alongside NC Quick Pass) as of November 6, 2023 with more on the way in winter of 2024.
EZ Pass is also accepted on the Canadian Plaza of the Peace Bridge in Fort Erie
DFW and Houston both have some of the most incredible freeways I have ever seen!
While Houston wins the prize for sheer width, the Metroplex takes the prize for variation and interest. Houston is as flat as a pancake, so when I'm up in the Dallas area, the shuckin' and jivin' of the hills and curves of their freeways make for a more fun drive at speed.
I can't believe you're almost to 300 videos. I'm actually at over 700 videos now, including CZcams shorts. When the first anniversary of my CZcams channel happened, I was only at 382 videos.

The Dallas north tollway resembles most old urban freeway in northeast US and Canada.

Just a question - I notice you always use the word "northerly" instead of "northbound." I've never heard that before, is this a regional thing?
I believe AP hails from the Greater Toronto Area...he's Canadian. We won't hold that against him, though. ;-)
If you watch other videos you’ll find that I also use the term northbound in some circumstances. The terms are synonyms, I wouldn’t read too much into it. Thanks for the comment.
Tbh, I really like the fact that there's a Dallas video for the beginning of the year, a series that we haven't seen a lot lately. Did you know that this the city where the 35th U.S. President, Johnn F. Kennedy got killed during a parade in that city? It's unknown who killed him exactly, but many believes it was Lee Harvey Oswald. However, he also got killed just 2 days after JFK's death. Since that time, there are several conspiracy theories about his death. Also, if you Drive on Quebec Route 173, you'll also notice that it's named ''Route Du Président Kennedy'' (President Kennedy Rd) in his honor.
Also in Iowa I've heard a school shooting in the town of Perry, around 7800 peoples, around 60 km of Des Moines. Fortunately, it was significantly much less deadly than some other well-known ones. The toll is one dead (Or 2 if you include the shooter) and 5 injured.
