Makes no strategic sense other than Pakistan wanting a pay out of this... I mean their military. Pakistan is now much closer to China than US. It would be better if US establishes a base in Punjab or Rajasthan India
I think the Indians are not foolish. They know it is all over for America, it is in a free fall, fast burningout, and not likely to recoup its corrupted clout. Never, this you may not want to believe but, it is true.
Foreign military base is not welcomed in india . Try some where else .
We will gladly welcome factories, research centers. But military, no way
US and India are not so close...because US still uses CIA to hurt India indirectly.
There is no trust between both countries.
It's a great idea. In this way USA would have to pay huge amount of rent to India to have their military presence. It'll boom Indian economy, local businesses, and a lot of Indian girls would be able to marry the brave young soldiers and be able to fly to USA with them.
