2019, and Justin and John are still going on tours and performing. And still damned gorgeous men.

Mike Pinder left in the '70s because he couldn't handle the fans and the fame. He still does solo work, and children's music.
Ray Thomas retired recently for health reasons. His last few tours he needed a stool to rest on while on stage, but finally even that wasn't enough. And the reason they had a mellotron (basically an analog sampler) was because Mike worked in a Mellotron factory. The Beatles and the Beach Boys used the instrument a little, but they were notorious beasts, prone to frequent breakdowns on tour. Mike's experience in making them enabled him to do adjustments on the road to keep it functioning, the band was unique in that.

The band was better after Justin started writing his own music. He is like no other… musically, and lyrically. Watched him for over 50 yrs.

I was in college and would go to the Reunion building to study. I slept into the study room and requested The Moody Blues and ear phones. And I did study with the Moody Blues.

Be careful. Sometimes you meet up with that 'someone out there' after many years and they aren't what you envisioned. Yeah. :0
