I am not trying to brag about how much I’ve grown or how much I read my bible, I want to bring you guys with me as I grow and learn. Something I am learning is that your bible study time needs to work for you and your season! And that is the point I am trying to make. I hope you guys enjoy this video! I love this video!! I really loved you sharing your journey and different pages. Most of my Bible journaling is also just note taking and highlighting but I do miss the pretty elements of it so sometimes I’ll pull out my washi tapes and stickers to decorate a bit. Or I’ll do a bit of calligraphy on the margins. I find that note taking and being studying the word has been a lot more nourishing to my soul than just making the pages pretty for me 😇
I really need to pull out my washi tapes!! They are so easy to make anything “pretty” lol Same! I am definitely in a season where notes are just more important than the art. I do add some hand lettering also! Really spruces up the page 😁

Hello, I like how you offered a Bible plan. It is so hard to find a Bible study group. I do not know how to do the pretty decorations in my Bible. The only thing that I really know how to do is highlight and write Thank you and be blessed.
Nothing wrong with just highlighting and writing! That’s mostly what I do now! Something that is super simple to do too is adding paper flaps to your pages for you notes!
I tend to bible journey in seasons too! I went through a few months when I was doing it really regularly but it has been a few months again since I have not touched it 😅 I hope to get back to it again soon too, but creativity comes in waves so we gotta wait for the wave and ride it when it comes 🌊🖌

Something i've thought of but I have such a hard time sticking to my tbr list!!
I find bible journaling (a/k/a coloring in my bible) not to be the best way to get into God's word. IMHO a waste of time. I mean why not study and highlight so we can get deeper into the Word and its meaning and its applicability into our lives. I was wondering if others felt similarly. You have to be creative and artistically inclined, I believe for true bible journaling as an artist This is just my opinion but I was interested in what others think. Its really not clicking for me.
I completely understand! I think what's most important is reading God's word!
Bible journaling is not for everyone. For me, when I would paint in my bible, it was a way of resting in God. I already did my in depth studying and was just spending time with God. I don't have the time, like I once did to paint. I would rather use the time I have to just read and study - and that's ok too. Every season looks different.
I think everyone has to find what works for them and stick to it. There are pros and cons to bible journaling for sure, but if it helps someone get in the word, awesome! What works for one person may not work for someone else.
