Thankfully, out of nowhere, suddenly I remembered that this song used to be my absolute favorite song and I would put this on blast everyday in my early years of high school around the time I was recovering from bullying that had happened to me previously and I was going through a few tough trials but anytime this song came into my head or played on my CZcams playlist it never failed to put a big smile on my lips and i instantly would sing along and rock out in my room to it when no one else was around. So glad this song had randomly come into my head today and earlier this week because I had missed it and I loved every lyric of it. She is highly underrated unfortunately but i truly think she is talented and that everyone should pay attention to every word she sings. It's made to inspire and its songs like these that have helped me turn into the smart, brave young woman that I am. I may have a long way to go to learn and grow as a person, but as long as I stay focused on my morals and my beliefs and the beautiful people who have stayed in my life who continue to support me, I know that it will get easier.
This song reminds me of me! I am struggling with many things even doubts about God (they are getting MUCH better) but I am working on myself! It's a tough fix but God is here looking at me and helping me! I want to walk with God 100% and be able to block out ALL of the devil's tricks! I love Britt Nicole and her music, such a good Christian! :)

What I've been doing is doubting my doubts. When I doubt it just makes me want to look for God even more to prove the doubts wrong. I read the Bible everyday, try that. :) And try looking for what you are doubting. It helps me and I am getting better. Trust yourself that you can get through this because you can. Ask God to give you wisdom and strength to be able to block out the doubts and know the reasons behind it. Ask God for help, he will help you. :) That is what I am doing. Maybe it may help you.

As I read these comments, I see people complaining about Britt Nicole being 'seductive', 'sexy' 'immodest'. Someone mentioned they couldn't believe Britt Nicole was a Christian when she made this video. On her Facebook page, we see people complaining about what a 'worldly role model' she is.
Honestly, we all have different standards towards modesty and different ideas on what is appropriate and what is not.
As Christians, we are called to live in the world, but not be of the world. Britt Nicole is living IN the world. She is reaching out to HURTING, BROKEN people. People that probably wouldn't be watching some lady in a jean skirt explain the Gospel. She uses her lyrics, interviews, and shows to bring BROKEN, HURTING, DESPERETE people the HOPE and LOVE of a heavenly father.
Let's keep this in perspective, before being quick to judge.

Amen to that. She is a great artist and undeserving of all this hate. whether it's hate or whether it's just criticism that is quite harsh... No one deserves that... Not since God sent Jesus to die for our sins... he didn't send his son to die for us so that we could make fun or criticize them in ways that put them down... God called us to love and have patience and compassion and to share his word... Know where did he say to hurt others. I'm not going to judge those people because I'll be no better than they are... But if I were them I would apologize... Repeatedly... And I know for myself I won't get over it for a month at least... So to me... It's very hard for me to be understanding of those who spread these hurtful words and unwarranted criticisms... And not automatically apologize... That doesn't make sense to me... But I will still have patience and understanding for them... But I lend my support to Britt Nicole... She has my prayers... Because we all need them... But also... For strength in the midst of all these hypocritical verbal abusers... Bible says remove the log out of your own eye before taking the splinter out of someone else's.... Of course I'm paraphrasing.... But my point is who are they to talk about her doing something she's not... When, as humans, they're undoubtedly doing something just as bad... God says all sins are equal... Again I'm paraphrasing but what I mean to say is someone gossiping or tearing someone down verbally for no reason... Is the same as any other kind of sin any of the ten commandments are equal to each other and any other sin... I know I certainly would not like to be criticized this way and I know that she's not doing anything wrong in regards to her the ministry and in her music career... God didn't call us to be stingy... God called us to be examples of him... And Jesus hung out with people that weren't considered the best people but instead were considered the worst people... Jesus drank wine and ate at many feasts... He was considered to be basically a party guy or something at least of that time... If I'm not mistaken He was invited to many weddings... I'm sure you've heard of him changing water into wine when they ran out... But if you knew Jesus... And I'm not doubting that you know of him... And maybe you haven't learned this lesson yet... I don't criticize... But it seems to me if you learned a little bit more about Jesus you would find that those terrible things you all are saying about her... In the end and even in the midst of you doing it... It's not what God wants... And it only makes you the one in the wrong... I'm not saying your view is completely unfounded because I would have to know every one of your views to speak to each of you individually.... But I just really would love it... If you would just be kind and less critical especially of people who profess God's love and try to spread it (God's love through music and showing God's Love) throughout the world to get to as many audiences as possible... Because God wants everyone to join him regardless of who they are or what they've been... I know God would love it if you would be less critical of others and show more of God's love and personality... That's the way to do it... God is literally and metaphorically timeless... And his way is always best... and I'm not making fun of or bashing the people who are doing the same to Britt Nicole... But I feel like you guys would understand more if you just read the scripture a little bit more and read it with the mind of a child the mind of a beginner like you've never read it before... And just read as much of the Bible as you can not in one sitting just take it in little bits... But read as much as you can... And pray and talk to God because that's what prayer is just talking to God not asking him for things all the time not complaining about your day... Although he will listen... Because his unconditional love and care for you... Is something that no human can fully understand... He wants to talk with you wants a personal relationship with you... every relationship that God has with his children each individual relationship is so unique that it will be the single one of its kind in all of creation... There's no one-size-fits-all relationship with God he loves all of us equally and at the same time loves each of us so powerfully and with such a unique love for each of us... And our personalities which he gave us... David played beautiful music... God love hearing David play his music... Even King Saul loved David's music... And King Saul spent much of his time hunting down and trying to kill David... David still played for the Lord even when times were tough and others were against him... So shall Britt Nicole continue to play for God and to bring as many people to experience God's love through her example as she can... I encourage all of you reading this... To seek God's opinion on it... To really take time to listen to what God has to say... Don't be so quick to judge or so quick to anger... Read the definition of love in the Bible... And just spend time in the Bible doesn't have to be forced and you don't have to feel obligated to do it just do it as leisurely as you can keeping an open mind... And if you can I would appreciate you not being so critical of others... Because I know you wouldn't want that done to you... And just because someone is well-known which is what Fame is... Does not mean that you automatically have the right to be rude to her or make fun of her or criticize her unmercifully... God called us to love so that's what I encourage you to do... And I agree with Elissa... And should she read this... I'd like her to know that I'm proud of the way she stood up for someone else... And I know God's proud of her too... God bless You all... I've met this lovely woman and seen her in concert twice. She is not ashamed of her faith in Christ whatsoever. As a songwriter myself, saying "You" evokes a feeling of personal relationship and meaning to the song. If I'm writing about my feelings to God, I'm going to use personal language to address Him! Lastly, I don't see how she is on a path to secularized music? Her latest album Gold is far from secular. This song was her very first single and she was much younger then. 6 years ago!

I strive for god I really do, I pray Evey day many many times no matter where I am. I ask forgiveness. I try not to cuss I try to remember not to lie. I try not to judge I try not to do bad things or be mean. No matter what I do I still have something in me the makes me feel like I'm so far away from god. Like I want to be right up close with him. But I feel like the gap between us is large. I've given him m my heart and my life. But I still fear death like I don't know where I'm going. Why do I have these feelings what am I missing what do I need to do? How do I know for sure where I'm going.
If you truly have accepted Jesus into your heart, you are going to heaven. The rest of your life here on earth, just try your best at living a life for Him. He will help you.

I used to be the same way. You see, I kept trying to figure out things I needed to do. Actual things. Like, not lying, never cussing, always striving to be kind, etc. But that is not all. You have to BELIEVE. If you believe that God is Lord, that you are saved, if you have done what has been asked of you from the bible, you are fine. You. are. saved. Don't let the devil's little doubts get into your head. They will, and that doesn't mean you lost your salvation; you never can. If you have doubts, ask someone about them. If they can't answer you, move on to someone else. It is natural to have doubts, just make sure you understand that you are saved if you believe. I hope this helps you, I'll be praying. :)
Jennifer Nixon Hey Jennifer! I understand if you feel like your far away from God, but just be mindful that they are just feelings. Jesus died on the cross to reestablish the connection that we previously lost with Him as God. When you acknowledge your own sins, believe that Jesus Christ is God, who has died to pay for those sins, and accept Him as your Lord and savior of your soul, you now have that connection with God through Jesus Christ. Jesus said In Matthew chapter 28 verse 20 that he "is with you always to the very end of the age." You've got to know that Jesus is with you and don't let your feeling convince you otherwise. Stay strong in the faith Jennifer! :)
I had the same issue! Giving your life to Christ is so beautiful but at the same time it's not going to be easy. Satan will try his best to have the spirit of fear enter within us but you are covered by the blood of Jesus. It will take time, but keep praying and ask for strength.
The fact that you do not have any desire towards sin is amazing and proves you are with Christ! If you let Him, He will show you wonders! You're going to be okay though. Just keep praying and read the bible.

Don't even worry about it. You've givn your heart to the Lord and he sees that. All you need to do now is tell him you trust him and have faith in what he wants to do in you and with your life. He has so much planned for you and loves you dearly. Just open up and stop thinking more about the rules and focus on just feeling his presence because once you do there's no going back. Worship and pray from the bottom of your heart! Pour out all your feelings and hardships even the things that may seem little and insignificant. He wants you to talk to him. Maybe get a journal and write out your feelings to him. That helped me! Look around and take in the beauty of his creation and just realize how blessed you are.

To the guys who think that she's acting all seductive or whatever... this song was made in 2010, or posted in 2010. That was almost four years ago. She's probably changed since then.
Yes, she has changed (new haircut, husband, adorable baby), but she isn't really acting "seductive" in this video, anyways. She's wearing sleeveless tops, whipping her hair around in time to the music, glaring at the camera, wearing thick black eyeliner, and having a dark, unfriendly setting. What I would say has changed most about her is her attitude- she seems to have gotten out most of her anger.

This video/song was the one that started it all ever since I seen it on JUICE TV (Formally named JCTV). I found this song up-lefting when I was struggling with low self-esteem back in high school. I struggled a lot with my self and school work, I almost gave up, if it wasn't because of this song, I surely don't know where I would be right now. God Truly spoke to me through this song, to Believe in Him and just have faith, to continue this journey and finished what I started. Truly, Britt Nicole is a true Believer in God. Thank you Lord, Amen.
