This recording above all others is what led me to pick up the viola, and heavily influenced my idea of what the viola is supposed to sound like, with his large Gasparo da Salo viola (17 inches body length I believe).
I used to own this LP, I don't remember it being quite that fast. Checking with my tuner, the pitch is too sharp, tuner is showing A=446, instead of 440, what the original recording probably used, no more than 442 to be sure. So the LP is spinning much too fast.
Wow, recht flott!!! Kenne ich gar nicht so, interessant!!! Frau Zimmermann und Herr Koch spielen es, bzw spielten es um einiges langsamer!!! Ich finde es ein "zu gerannt 🏃♀️🏃", aber reine Geschmackssache , ein wenig langsamer.
