  • Kunzang Dechen Lingpa describes when HH Dudjom Rinpoche gave him the Vajrakilaya practice to do. In that period, he experienced dreams prior to a large earthquake int he region and its aftermath.
Kunzang Dechen Lingpa was a Nyingma meditation master and a terton, one who receives revealed teachings. He was part of the last generation trained in Tibet, where he was guided by HH Dudjom Rinpoche, and conducted many years of retreat to understand and integrate his meditation practices. ====================

Dudjom Rinpoche was widely acknowledged to be one of the great lamas of his generation, the last ones trained and developed in Tibet. After the fall of Tibet, he became the leader of the Nyingma lineage until his death in 1987.

I love stories of old Tibet. Many of these old lamas have zillions of them. I listened to my retreat master tells us stories at breakfast every day for 3 years and they never repeated.

I found it interesting that Kyabje Düdjom Rinpoche counseled him to practice Vajrakilaya before doing Ngöndro to clear obstacles. Just shows you that Dharma is not always a straight line. You would think Ngöndro should be done before a powerful practice like Vajrakilaya but each individual path is unique.

yes, for some realized beings, they have done their ngondros in their past lives, so at times, some practices are prioritized. But, for others who have not done ngondros, they won't even have the karma to meet such Lamas

@@skyerlog5487 To meat a realized Lama or spiritual Master you need an unbelieveable amount of good karma.
