  • Swami Dayananda Saraswati is a traditional Vedantic Master. In this video recording Swamiji is guiding the listener on an inquiry into the nature of "I". Swami Dayananda offered this talk some years ago during one of his visits to the San Francisco Bay Area. By this traditional and thorough oral unfoldment, Swamiji aims to create a sort of a mirror in the mind of the listener that may allow him/her to recognize the true nature of his/her Self. You may learn more about Vedanta and of Swamiji's work by visiting arshavidya.org.

The banyan tree of Vedanta in this era. My Guru who learnt Brahma Sutram from Pooja Swamiji calls him Vendanta Jambavan.
Blessed to have known, met and spent time with Swamiji.

You want to change others so that you can be free, but it never works that way.
Accept others totally, and you are free; then you will discover love, which is yourself......Swami Dayananda.

One who got the opportunity to listen the Swamiji teaching during 70's & 80's , they are really very blessed . Those days Swamiji was man of vibration due to his young age...

Thank you Swamiji for the beautiful lecture 🙏🙏. A self-inquiry is a very essential one, for each one of us - to understand the true self, to understand the universe, and to understand the creator. Thank you for illuminating my intellect 🙏🙏🙏

Looking at yourself as the personality structure (body/mind/senses), you are correct. Those aspects are all made up of parts and they are part of a large universe, which is made up of parts also. The Whole, Brahman, is that from which everything has manifest, upon which it exists and to what it all goes back to. That you are.

cool edit pro has an option to compare the sound of the noise and delete the noise from itself to leave just the voice. i dont know what that means but it sounds groovy.

If something is The Whole, where is there room for parts? The Whole, Brahman, is the true nature of the Self (âtmâ), just like water, the whole which is the ultimate reality of the sea, is also the reality of each and every wave. There are not two waters. That whole, you are, even though the mind does not know it. That is what needs to be known if one is to fulfill one's life. Seek to discover That as yourself.

Since we are stating "the time and space are object of my knowledge", I am already objectifying "I" , just as by stating "a pot is inside the universal space", I am objectifying both space and pot, same way by stating "I am objectifying space and time", this statement is also objectifying the "I" and space and time.
If, someone argues, what we mean by "objectifying" in Vedanta is, not to intellectually take X as an object of speech, but anything that you conscious as "not me" , then it doesn't really proves that we aren't referring anything that can be objectified, perhaps our word "I" refers to the timeless awareness(lets make such provision label), I can knows another timeless awareness as an object, not through sensory, but through intellectual conceivability, just because when I am referring this a particular timeless awareness which isn't a "other", then I uses the word "I", because we don't conscious it as a "other",

If you say you objectify I, tell us all what is "I", how tall is "I", what is the length of "i" is "I" physical or non physical ? You just cannot objectify "i". i can objectify time every time i see a watch, morning and evening. i can objectify space when start to drive a car and when i finish driving the car. I experience the time n space. Do you experience I in a similar way as an object?

So you SEE two people looking in the direction of where you stand, and HEAR them say 'he is foolish person.' Here there is intergration of what is perceived by the sense organs. Yes, there is knowledge, but is it true they are talking about you? You might conclude they are, but what about if there is someone beyond you that you don't see, and they are referring to that person and not you? Your non-apprehension of what IS, caused your mind to misapprehend the reality causing you to sufffer anger.

@jawsad1 I/you/we - the subject. atoms and space - the object (your body my body our bodies collapse down to atoms and space hence objects).
    This much scientific?
The I/you/we is unknown to science yet. So wait till science gets there. No choice for you.

I understand nothing from your writing. Didn't you learn not to use 'and' at the start of a sentence? What does "I do understand nothing" mean?
See how easy it is to criticize someone? If you applied your head a little and actually paid attention to the teaching you wouldn't feel the need to criticize his approach. He has more truth in his little finger than you do in your being.
