They are singing about the actual Black Sea because the song is about the Russian composer Rakhmaninov. Rakhmaninov apparently spent some summers on the Black Sea coast, composing, and Miyako obviously knows a thing or two about his biography. Is a guitar male in Romanian? The lyrics are the thoughts of a Kamikaze pilot facing his final mission. This is one of three songs they wrote about the last days of WWII. Not the easiest topic to take on if you are Japanese.
