    The SOG Flash guarter inch bit driver will hold the nextool bit kit from the Nextool elite KS2.

    I think it was a good choice switching to 4mm. I feel this tool is meant more for light duty and I think the pliers and knife perform better than the skeletool. Also a nice upgrade with the d2 steel on the flash mt🤙🏽 good video though love seeing creators that do actual tests with the tools 👍🏽

    Interesting vid. Comparison between these is interesting as I'd use 1/4" bits very differently from 4mm ones but you use what you have on hand. You can definately carry more 4mm bits using the same space but over time having good quality bits would make the biggest difference. Thanks for the look see and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

    The Flash should be have a lock for the handle (like Leatherman Signal)

      I have a Skeletool CX that is a great tool for me. I am interested in other slimmer EDC multitools, but the Skeletool is hard to beat.

      @@CircuitsAndStrings The skeletool is hard to beat! Great multi-tools with minimal tool sets are hard to find. It would be interesting to see if the Victorinox Ranger grip 74 is close to the Skeletool.

    I really prefer the SOG Powerlock as all the different tools store in the handles and lock into position and can be used in the closed position. I also like how on the Powerlock you can change out the different tools.

    Very good choice of multi tools, I think these are really edc multi tools.
    Bytheway where can I buy Reactor in reasonable price.?

    • @hvacbudget8600
      @hvacbudget8600  Před rokem +1

      The best option is probably to just keep watching eBay. Another option is that Aliexpress still sells new versions of what looks like real Reactors for around $50 to 60. But I have no idea if they are real or a great reproduction.

    • @tubezv

      @@hvacbudget8600 thanks a lot. Aliexpres is kidding us, 50-60$ when on the BladeHQ it was 25$ year ago.
      There is not any way, I should create and construct a new tool :)

    I just got my Flash MT today. I love it… perfect edc size (what I wish the PowerPint had been). I’d love to see testing of the pliers and wire cutters (which are always the star of the show with SOG). I’m going to be pairing the SOG Flash MT with a Victorinox Compact (mostly for the scissors).

    • @FreedomFox1
      @FreedomFox1 Před 2 lety

      @@hvacbudget8600 I tested out the Flash a little… it’s actually not as good at turning nuts as the PowerPint. It’s a combination of needing to open even wider (already an issue with compound leverage) and the handle being less comfortable (especially the thin side). Still a decent overall package for edc… I’d be curious to see how the pliers compare on the PowerAccess.

      @@hvacbudget8600 The PowerPint is impressive for its size… lots of small locking tools. Tyler at Best Damn EDC said it’s the best edc multitool ever made.

    Are you sure a quarter inch bit doesn`t fit in the Flash? It seems the 4mm is a bit loose. The PowerPint uses quarter inch just fine.

    • @hvacbudget8600
      @hvacbudget8600  Před 2 lety +1

      It comes with a 4mm bit but I didn't try the 1/4. I don't think it works though. It is labeled as a 4mm bit driver on the websites selling them as well.

    • @vitobojo
      @vitobojo Před 2 lety

      I believe they should both work, correct? It takes just that same hex-angle and would grip larger hex-shapes and bits. Seems to work for me. The older 1/4 in., however, doesn't adjust/reduce any further down to hold the smaller 4mm bits. This makes this version of the bit holder more adaptable to kits and situations, eh?

    • @vitobojo
      @vitobojo Před 2 lety

      And by bit holder, I mean the business end, the usage of the bit, not the bit storage holder. Sorry not to be clear.

    • @hvacbudget8600
      @hvacbudget8600  Před 2 lety +2

      @@vitobojo So it does work in a pinch. The ends of the jaws that come together to clamp the 4mm bit also can clamp the 1/4 but... There definitely is more wobble than in bit holders designed for the 1/4 bits by SOG.

    The Reactor's bit driver is unusable ... I love the size everything EXCEPT the bit driver. I'm hoping the Flash MT fixed that issue.

  • @jasonazuma
    @jasonazuma Před 2 lety +2

    Wow, blade on the Flash is even skinnier than on the Reactor. And the blade on the Reactor is trash. Definitely will not be getting a Flash.
