    03:40 - I've been told that it's _sometimes_ because birds perch on fences (or other property barriers, power lines, etc.) and poop the undigested seeds of berries they've eaten. In a maple's case; the samaras.

    What's the amount of trees you're doing in your tree series it'd be nice if you had a wood burner you'd be set for the winter
    I got trees on a property I rent two of them are white birch they died out over last winter and they're so rotted I actually took a hold of a branch and gave it a good pull and it snapped off fortunately only like 20 ft tall and a storm took down the top half

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  Před 4 lety

      We've got a fireplace but I'm looking for a more efficient wood burner to put in there ... that's definitely the plan as the wood is piling up around here! I dropped a birch like that the other day: it came apart in my hands

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  Před 4 lety +3

      Thanks for checking it out! This was a mere $250 because I wanted to help the folks out (kids playing in the yard under a dead tree is no good), but my prices are usually higher and depend on all kinds of things like the species, size of tree, location, situation, etc. :)

    How long is that rope for rigging?

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  Před 4 měsíci

      For a retrievable line I usually go 2x height of rigging pt

    Why didn't you just ask that house to move their van and back your trailer up to the wood pile? Surely they wouldn't mind a temporary intrusion to get all that good work done......

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  Před 4 lety +1

      There was an old feller next door and we got to talking, but in the end I didn't want to bother him. I'm pretty bad about minimizing work ... I have this odd inclination to maximize it sometimes! :)
