Apple poppy seed sourdough cake
Sourdough:
410 g plain flour
140 g coarse flour
100 g of butter
100 ml water
250 ml of milk
2 yolks
25 g of fresh yeast
5 spoons of sugar
1 pack of vanilla sugar
Poppy filling:
110 g ground poppy
6 spoons of powdered sugar
Apple filling:
1200 g of apples
1 bag of cinnamon sugar
50 g of walnuts
6 spoons of powdered sugar
1 lemon juice
Yeast - mix yeast, 100 ml of water, sugar and flour.
Leave to ferment for 10 minutes.
Heat the milk, add sugar, vanilla, butter and mix.
Mix 2 egg yolks into lukewarm milk.
Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the flour.
Mix the flours together and add to the sourdough.
Pour lukewarm milk with butter, knead the dough for about 10 minutes.
Leave to rise for 1 hour.
Peel and grate the apples.
Add lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon sugar.
Chop the nuts, add to the apples and mix.
Divide the dough and roll it out.
Place on a baking sheet and cover.
Mix poppy seeds with sugar and sprinkle on the dough.
Add apple filling and smooth.
Roll out the second part of the dough and place it on top of the apple filling.
Edit the path.
Brush with beaten egg and milk (1 egg, 1 teaspoon of milk).
Prick with a fork, sprinkle with almonds.
Bake in a heated oven at 190°C for 25-30 minutes.
