Pretty sure that in the LN Tet came to chat with them in the middle of a general assembly, or something, so pretty much everyone in the hall heard their conversation and started freaking out just like Steph; it was pretty funny there, too. (I only really glanced through it once while visiting a bookstore, so I can't claim to be some expert...Maybe I'll see if the books are available on BookWalker, sometime. Probably are.)
Yeah, Tet did do that. He also gave them some information regarding how some races reacted to their victory, and even warned them that the elves would take them to study their bodies if they learned they were from another world.
There is a movie you can still watch. And Light Novel that is original source material. It is really good - but if you live in America you won't be able to get all the up-to-date volumes as you have some strange stuff going with it. Overall this season focuses on volumes 1-3, movie follows prequel story that is told in volume 6. There are three races to conquer in volumes 4-5, and only one in volumes 7-8, then volumes 9 and 10 each focus on one race, but also they are foreshadowing all remaining races. Series is supposed to have around 16 volumes. And after reading volumes 9 and 10 I would say there is a big chance that we actually may get season 2 after all those years. There is new summary of the series in the beginning of volume 9 that could be used for first episode of the anime, and volume 10 references anime endings and has a nice cliff-hanger similar to season 1. I would say - give it still a year or two and season 2 will come out with 24 episodes that focus on volumes 4-5 and 7-10. After all they have to have something to advertise, so like volumes 11 and 12 at least have to come out.
Think about this. In chess the Pawn is the weakest piece, yet it has the potential to become the Queen; which is the strongest piece. In fact, they can become any piece! "Because they are weak, they can become anything." Now look at the Race Piece. It's a Pawn.
