So 27 tested positive, but they were asymptomatic. No one was sick.
So a 0.5% infection rate. I need to leave Connecticut and get on a cruise ship. Thanks for telling us!!
I really miss Bruce's videos, he has consistently been honest about the cruise industry. Other videos on you tube are travel agents talking their book.
So if most are asymptomatic why are they testing at all? I’m sure there are folks walking around your town or in your favorite restaurant or store that would test positive too

Well, I'm not surprised from what I've seen of how all cruise lines take the nasal swabs. They don't put it up far enough. That won't give a good result
Bruce I'd like your new updates wish you had time to do more of this.. I work a lot of hours and cannot always be on your live shows thank you from Texas.
Live streams feature not enough information and too much "how's the weather". I don't feel like sitting through an hour or more of banter.
I was with the carnival breeze a few days ago in couzumel hopefully there won’t be many cases

The main issue with the crew is they had J & J vaccine which is only 65 % effective.

Regarding the Vista. Not the sort of news we want to hear, but at least the cruise lines are much more forthcoming with information than the rest of the world. Yes, they have to be forthcoming, but it's still nice to have the openness. I read stories like this and wonder at how many cases there might be at say a Florida all inclusive resort, or a theme park, or ??? We have no way to know and those places have no requirement to report. Thus we do not have the needed information to make informed decisions.

Yes, exactly! More information from travel infections outside of cruising have to be tracked and reported. Like airlines?
I’ve heard that Carnival has no masked up policy. Is it true? I mean if you get your mask off then the risk of getting COVID in such tight place as a cruise ship is so high even if you are vaccinated.
I was on the breeze last week. Masks were worn in all public places. I was also told that a lot of the vista crew retested and we’re negative. I think the rapid test that was used isn’t very accurate. Anyway it was a great cruise. They had the protocols on place and I felt perfectly safe everywhere.

I was on Vista on the 10th of July..we had no covid..clean cruise
Yea we went on the 24th and ended up with COVID it sucked
I did the clean cruise
May be traveling with to many passengers. Hopefully, there protocol works.

Thought everyone that works for carnival was vaccinated. Hopefully it’s not a serious problem 👍
That is correct. So we need to assume they were passing it on to other crew members below decks. This is happening all over the world, vaccinated people are passing it to vaxed and nonvaxed people.
Just cause you’re vaccinated doesn’t mean you cannot catch Covid.

This is a bad plan for carnival, trying to keep this quiet and not being transparent about it
We don't know if it's Carnival or if it's the CDC that told them too keep it quiet because the crew that got it are vaccinated and they don't want to cause vaccibe hesitancy.

@@scottrance2818 cruise lines are required to tell the CDC, but it should also tell the passengers so they are informed and can take precautions. At the end of the day I think carnival needs to reduce its capacity and allow for more spacing onboard

One case is far to many for a deadly virus on a ship
We’re these crew members all vaccinated before departure from Galveston and we’re they required to remain in quarantine a full 14 days before assuming duties aboard the ship??? Sounds like Carnival may be playing a bit fast and loose!
those vaccinations certificates are a joke. All you need is 3 minutes of photoshop and an inkjet printer
Considering how many people are on that ship those aren't bad numbers

Stop making a big deal over nothing. I can go to the grocery store and can catch corvid. So what.
COVID-19 is never going to subside as long as this type activity (large inside gatherings) continues.
I told you, all ship should remain shut down till summer of 2022.
Cruising must stop!
