- Are you simply surviving the mundane of the present tasks of raising children? Are you dreaming of the day you can do bigger and better things for God's kingdom? Let's discuss parenting with a vision!
Psalm 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish.
I definitely do not have all the answers, but the more time goes on, the more I realize how important it is to have a vision in our parenting, and to never underestimate the impact we are having on our children's lives by the little decisions we make daily.
Do I value my children as I should, or am I consumed with my own agenda?
Do I have a servant mentality that involves my children as well?
These are all things I need to grow in soooooooo much! (:

I'm a single 37 year old. Never married never had children. I pray my blessings are to come. But watching your channel is so real. Raw and I feel like you don't TRY to people please. You are YOU and it's beautiful so I'm here to watch and learn even if I'm not a mother âŁïž
Iâm a grandmother now.
Going through the same aches and pains that I went through with my children.
Thank you so much, for this lovely video.
I can only imagine. God bless!
Dearest Jeanine, Iâm 72 years old and I will be a parent forever. Our children are in their 50s, but they all deal with issues unique to those years. We will always worry, help, rescue, assist, love, and forgive. Always filled with the love and grace from God.
Well said Jeanine!
Throughout my life I have been blessed with some very wonderfully beautiful people... they have shared time with me, shared experiences with me and taught me healthy attitudes and practices.
They also allowed me to have time with them while they took care of everyday things at home and sometimes at work.
All in all I must say they taught me many wonderful and healthy ways of viewing life and all it can bring to a person and some of these folks were not my biological parents yet took on the roll of parent or mentor because they cared.
They have inspired me to bring that caring forward and with God's grace, understanding and guidance I make every attempt.
This care I learned was for all ages as we are all children of God, I believe, so I continue learning and sharing.
At time I supplemented our income by taking on work that I did from home, while devoting my time to raising my daughter and two nieces, and eventually my grandson.
Sometimes I worked outside of our home and I made sure that they were welcome there too.
I continued this trend while other children were in my care...
Child care was shared with those of us who were comfortable with each others care practices.
The children and I also shared our home and time with those who's parents needed to work... our home was their home and our care was there for all.
They were all 'my children' and I enjoyed my time with each and every one of them.
I have been blessed as they continue to share their time and little ones with me too.
I feel it is like a circle that keeps on giving.
God Bless you for your insight and God Bless your beautiful family as well.
With love and good wishes.
Linda

My days of parenting are over. All my children are grown, but I am still called to be a light for them and still need God's Grace. A huge THANK YOU for the time you spend for us.â€
Ww never stop being parents, aye? No matter the age of our children. I can imagine anyway
@@theMennoniteMom soon to early the roles turn.
I couldnât love this more. My five boys- men now, are grown, but they still need me. You donât ever really get done being a parent but it definitely changes. I made so many mistakes but Iâve asked God to redeem my mistakes and said Iâm sorry. God has been so faithful. I did love well, thanks to God! Now Iâm a grandma to 4 and oh how precious they are. Now I cheer their parents on and pray. God is so good and faithful and Iâm so thankful for His grace! â€ïžđ„°-Joanna
This is a treasure that this 62 yr old Granma is sending to her daughter!
You have ministered today Jeanine!
âGo home and love your family!â That really hit me today. That is what I desire. (I am a stay at home mom, but I want to enjoy what I do as unto the Lord.)
Thank you. This is so real. My Son has seven children. Three if them have left home and live in a different Country. They share an Apartment. Two work at the same Restaurant the other in another field something to do with Computers. They have good jobs and are in constant contact with their Parents an other Siblings. The are doing very well. It is good to see and know. My Son told me once that the mist meaningful thin in his lufw was that no matter where he went how long he was gone he knew he could return home and know I was there waiting for him. My Son and his wife did the same for their children. Dinner time conversations about what was going on in school, play outongs with friends and such. Now they communicate daily from far away, that is so awesome to Witness. You are so very right.
I think this is probably the most poignant, needed video you could've ever made! đđ»đđ»đđ»
Thank you for this. I'm a homeschooling, stay-at-home mom of a special needs child and have often felt invisible in my community because I'm not using my college degree or earning money or serving on a board or whatever. But I am teaching my son about Jesus! I really loved this post.
You will reap many blessings. But it can feel so alone sometimes. đ hugs!
You are teaching him the most important thing. Bless you!!
May God Bless you for your commitment Holly !
I'm also a mom with a special needs son, who just turned 24
My MIL told me I was wasting my life because I am homeschooling my kids and I am not using my degrees at a job. God has not called me to follow the world, but Him. He has without question called me to homeschool and I am accountable to Him and not my MIL and others. No job or amount of money is worth losing the hearts and souls of my children. We live on one income and God has been faithful. Keep your eyes on Jesus.
60 years now. Raised three children and sadly three never made it. Grandma to girls and boys and now full time carer to my 94 year old Mom. I have been looked down on and belittled but I have learnt so much in all the years and to rejoice in the grace of God. Parenting and caring is priceless and the world is a sadder place for the economic need for two incomes so that many are torn between the world and their family.
Thank You! I an apply much of this as a daughter caring for a 92 yr young Mom. Listen, patience, love, loving touches and grace. đ
I am a 70 year old mother of four and a grandmother of seven. So much of what you talked about really hit home. Even though my children are all grown, a lot of what you said and read can be used in those relationships and also with my grandchildren. Thank you so much for this video.
Paul David Tripp also wrote my most favorite devotional called New Morning Mercies. Itâs excellent and worth checking out. đ
â€ïž the message in this video!
I am an at home childcare provider and mother of 6.
My calling was/is to be a mum. And it's with great joy that I get to nurture and love so many children aswell as my own.
Nothing is more important to raising children. Mother Theresa's quote is true for all.
I always said I would only have them if I could keep them locked up till they are 19. I thanked God many times that He didn't give me children, cause I would be a nervous wreck and so afraid something bad would happen to them. Well, my husband and I were adopted by 2 young couples and calls us their gay dads and they now have 3 baby girls that call me Papa and my hubby Tata(as he is spnish). My point here is that my heart is full and yes I worry everyday about them but they have a deep respect for my Christian belief that they raise their children to be God's loving children.
I really liked the one Jenine. Thanks for sharing as I have aged enough to understand more but that is because ou Lord and savior has and continues to show me the way. God Bless.
Thank you, Jeanine, for such a powerful, thought-provoking message. I loved how your family photos captured the spirit of parenting, too! God bless!
Absolutely beautiful!! đ
Well said. AmenâŁïž
I cried throughout this video. Itâs exactly where Iâm at and what I needed to hear
Godly wisdom!
So well spoken, thank you!
I was literally just thinking of making a video like this. I've been watching parenting videos, including with Tripp. So helpful!
Thank you for sharing this. Needed it so much â€ïž
Thank you Jeannie. The book sounds good, wish the library had an audio book of it.
You are so right.!
Thank you!!!
You are so right about parenting thank you so much for sharing ! đđŒđ
Thank you for sharing this video đđœ I so appreciate it â€
Thank you!
Thank you! I agree as a mother, grandmother, great grand mother.
Hearty Amen! So good
Wow thank you Jeanine I really needed to hear this
What a great video today with a very strong message. I agree with you!! Definitely a must read book! Thank you so much for sharing today! â€ïž
Thank you so much for this encouraging video!
Words of wisdom for all Mamas out there! I am a homeschooling, stay at home Mom of 7âŠ.. a few years ago I realized that our ministry was stealing way too much of my time with my children. I was starting to feel very depressed and anxious. I suffered with anxiety attacks. I felt like I could never do enough to help people and everyone was pulling at me in all directions. I started to resent my children and I wondered why I was having so much trouble homeschooling and running a ministry. After a lot of prayer, I heard God say to walk away from the ministry.
I heard him say that my children are my first ministry and I am neglecting them to take care of other peoples children. I quit and I have never looked back. My depression went away. My anxiety attacks went away. I realize that being a stay at home mom to seven children and home schooling and raising them to know and love our Lord Jesus is enough. I donât have to do anything else for anyone else. This is the most important job that I can do. I wish that I had seen this video a few years ago when I was really suffering. I hope that other women will see this and God will speak the same words of wisdom to them. Our children need us. They need all of us.
Thank you for sharing this. I know that God spoke directly through you because I heard him telling me the same words a few years ago.
Thanks for sharing your story! I'm glad you heard His voice and your children will thank you! God bless you are a busy mama!
Grace is a wonderful gift from God!!
I cried tears of relief!
Amen and amen.
Wonderful words.
Thank you so much for sharing this đâ„ïžđ
We are reading this book with our marriage and family class for Sunday school. Very good!
Excellent!
Wow!!!! I wish I had this book 35 years ago. Amen. Loved this and agree Jeannine.
Wow Janine this was powerful and enlightening. You go girl, all glory to God.đ
Love it
This is a great book for parents. Children need their parents who are life guides .
This was very well said, thank you
I always look forward to your messages and videos. We do not have children, but for me- itâs wisdom I can grab on to, to hear the heart cry of parenting. I want to understand otherâs struggles. Being childless has its struggles and strong points as well as parenting. All this to day, I couldnât just skip ahead, I love the great advice thatâs available that our parents didnât have. THANK YOU, appreciate your Godly perspective! - Mattie
I usually catch your videos within a day of release, but we had company, then this and that so I didn't get to it until today.
Today is when I needed to hear this, though. GOD IS SO GOOD!
I agree with you. The hand that rocks the cradle IS the hand that rules the world. So many people do exactly what you have described and they have a whole mess of regret when they realize that they one precious ministry they had directly from God was pushed off in search of other "higher" ministries.
We put a level of importance on ministries based on how many are reached and we miss out on what God has in store for us.
Beautiful message†blessings to you and your beautiful family đđđđ
Thank you for sharing this powerful message:) definitely needed this!
Wow! I went to review book and I bought it. Even though my kids are grown I love to learn more about parenting. I hope I can share this with my daughters and son, parents of my13 grandchildren ages 3-22 yrs old. Thank youLove your video and passion for living right by God!
What wonderful content! My children are young adults now but I really related to so much of what you said. I'm so thankful they are beautiful young Christians now and serving the Lord in many different areas. it is so worth every tear, every sleepless night, every prayer and every struggle to see them where they are now.
You have such a beautiful heart and your children are so very blessed to have you as their mother.
It's easy to see how you and Nolan adore them. I encourage you to keep loving them deeply. Keep smothering with them with your prayers. I encourage you to keep being consistent even when it feels like you are not getting anywhere. You ARE getting somewhere because consistency really does work.
God bless you and your family!!!!
Such a great video! I really enjoyed hearing you address this issue. Being available for our children is the best thing we can do for them. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
Powerful message!
God bless you for your message. The world's values are upside down. Thanks for putting them right side up. I was a stay at home mom, and I knew that society did not value my work. Did not value children, or the work of keeping the home. Yet this was hard work and very important.
I just love your channell My father grew up in a Mennonite community in Ohio. So I saw a lot of the things your pointing out (horse and buggies, Amish walking down the side of the road or riding bikes). Brings back so many childhood memories! The best ever baby swiss sold on a roadside stand plus tomatoes, corn, honey, flowers
Got it! What did I win????
I had to rewatch this twice cuz i sobbed through the first time. I get what youâre saying 100%, because i come from a family of 13 kids, and i used to be that bitter child whose parents were absent, in ministry or other children. Obviously thats behind me but im also raising a child now and i do soak in every moment with him because i understand things differently now. I am a stay at home mom and people do often make me feel like Iâm insignificant/ or not doing enough. Although i had a chance at career, its hard overall. Thank you for making this video. Youâre a God sent, honestly!!! đ„čâ„ïžđ€
Beautiful words in his book! Godâs Grace!!!! Parenting is the most important job you can do. We are enjoying watching our 4 now raise theirs. Hedging them with love and prayers!!!
I totally agree and thank you very much. God bless.
Thank you
You have given so much hope to families through your videos. I think these are your "ministry". May God Bless you each day.
This video is spot on!!! very good
That was SO inspiring. I'm a grandparent with no children at home, but I hope I can influence my children and grandchildren with that loving godly spirit and continue to nurture our relationship until my time is up.
Totally agree. The thing I suffer from is hindsight. I look back and see that I could have done much better. I love Godâs grace (although undeserved) but I have never been good at extending grace to myself.
I just got this book. I'm so excited to learn on being a parent đ€
This book sounds wonderful! I'm a grandma now and I wish I had it when I was raising my children! Your content is exemplary and I truly believe that whilst your children are at home that is to be your ministry! There's always prayerfully plenty of time to participate in other ministries afterwards!
Thank you for the affirmation. I appreciate the wisdom of those gone ahead
I agree Marina...
I wish I had the wisdom an nolidge. Can't spell I know now that I didnt know 30yrs ago...
thank you
Love this â€
I really admire you and appreciate this video so much. I shared with 2 of my daughters that have children. Thank you so much. Gods blessings đ
Thank you!
I love the Mother Teresa quote! Thank you for reminding us how important parenting is. I'm well past having children. I sure wish I had these important messages when my children were young.
Ok I've had this book in my Amazon cart for a little while now, but now I just had to buy it đso inspirational and challenging!...thank you for doing this video! Blessings to u and your familyđ
I hope you like it!
Beautiful video †Beautiful message †Beautiful family †Thank you for this ⊠I needed to hear this today! Much love from The U.K. Xx
Thank God đ
Thank you great message Iâm not a parent but still needed to hear
Thanks so much for this video. You have conveyed perfectly what I have long struggled to put into words. Definitely want to get the book. May God bless your parenting journey!!
I bought the book and am loving it
I love that dress it's so pretty it reminds me of my daughter's first Easter dress. The white one your wearing first
Powerful Message! God Bless you! This is the message all parents need to hear. Especially in these times.â€â€đđ
Being a Mom was the one thing I truly wanted in life and I was blessed with a son. While he's a grown man now it was and still is the most fulfilling thing I've ever done in my life. I'm blessed with the fact that he's successful and is very much in love with the woman he married.
My children are raised and I still make mistakes with them and they are parents of children and married adults!! Itâs hard when you look back at your mistakes and not knowing which ones were the worst when youâre children wonât really tell because they donât want to hurt your feelings!! So parents read this book!! You will never regret the knowledge you will get from it!!!
You make Beautiful videos Thank you đšđŠ
I totally agree with you. When my kids were kids at home , I did feel useless sometimes. Now that I have grandchildren I feel like I need to help guide them sometimes. Iâm talking about guiding them in a Christian walk. When I see them. I feel that God is telling me to pray for them and if that is all I can do, his says, thatâs OK. I hope this makes some sense.
Prayer moves mountains. So powerful. God bless you and your family
oh my word I NEEDED THIS MESSAGE todayâŠâŠ.. THANK you SO MUCH đđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđ
God bless you!
Well said..solid teaching. Thanks for sharing. You are ministering to so many.
Just bought the book. Can't wait to read it! Thank you for sharing.
I hope you enjoy!
I'm an empty-nest,single-mom of three boys. I've commented a couple times on your videos regarding the blessing/pleasure that I experience when I get to see, listen, and enjoy your sweet little boy, Xander. Xander is definitely an extension of your ministry and an example of God's grace extending to me, a lonely mom, that knows of no greater treasure than time enjoyed with a loving little boy. Of all the things I have done in my life, my boys are my very favorite. Thanks to you and Nolan. Thanks also to Xander for blessing me with his smile and wit. God bless you and keep you.
Thank you so much for this encouraging video! I shared it on my Facebook page because I thought it would encourage others too â€ïž
Thankyou so much for sharing this ,,,, so encouraging and agree 100% đ€
Such great advice! 100% correct! My Pastor always told me my first ministry is my family!
(And loved the throwback videosâ€ïž)
I agree with you. And it's so hard to figure out what ministry's to help with. But I read years ago that there is such a thing as too many good things. So I try to keep that in my mind
Good advice!
You are absolutely correct Jeannine !!! I just bought a copy!!! I wish I had this wisdom when my wife and I raised our kids⊠Howie
I hope you enjoy it! Just grin chatting with you different times in quite certain you did an excellent job with your children đ
This has been SUCH a struggle for me lately. Thank you Jeannine!! Your words and insight have so filled my cup. I hope it filled your cup to share them as well. (Because I know that sometimes I can minister to other women, and forget to let the encouragement sink into me too.). You are an incredible Mother, a role model for me, and a blessed Sister in Christ. I just love you to bits and think we would be great friends if we knew each other. Praying for your success and blessings as you continue to shine your light!!
Thank you for that! Yes, it seems every time I make a video like this I get bombarded by the enemy and I question everything and the battle is more difficult. So thanks for the encouragement!
I still focus on God to continue to guide me to be a parent a grandma great grandma and lead them to God.
Wow! Such wisdom. I hope many take this wisdom and apply it to their own lives. I asked myself the same questions when raising my own. And as you said time goes so fast. Thanks for sharing. Perhaps I can purchase this book in the future for parents. Blessings.
You are changing the world with your channel. Blessings on you and your family. Thank you for this message; as it is so true, our families are our first ministriesđđœ
Thanks for the encouragement!
Amen! What a beautifully stated and important message! The only thing I would add is Moms and Dads love and respect each other. It is so important for your children to see that. I am an empty nester now and wish there were SO many things I could go back and do differently. All the things you talked about I wish that I had done more of. Prayers for you young parents to see what a wonderful blessing your children are and that the time passes much too quickly.
Thank you and yes I so agree! So important to do. Thank you for your prayers we young parents need them!
Beautiful true video thank you for great editing.
Iâm parenting a 29 y. o. now and a Grama teaching my grandsons to love God now.
God bless you!
This was wonderfulâ€ïž
