Ruby’s videos are literally like a warm hug, they’re so comforting and wholesome. Something lost in this day and age especially in the younger generation of youtubers is being proud of who you are and also being good role models to those who watch them

Here is an advice from me:
Try to not bend forward so much when studying/writing.I actually used to study and write this way and I got diagnosed with flat back syndrome and it is soooo painful,I am worried for new school year and how I will cope with the pain.

If you have a lot of big textbooks, you should consider getting a book cradle. It’ll hold your books at a nice angle so you won’t have to bend forward so much :) and you can find collapsing ones that are quite cheap!
You could invest in an ergonomic chair (expensive though) or try a back brace that will force you to keep good posture when you're sitting to study

I failed my first year of sixth form because of mental health. I then took a year out to figure myself. At 18, shortly turned 19 years old, I decided to go to college for English language and literature, sociology and law.
Through the entire year I struggled with my mental health. From being diagnosed with BPD, to hospital stays, medication, more medication, psychiatrist appointments, panic attacks, moments of pure depression, I genuienly thought I was going to fail.
I got my As results today and came out with full marks for Sociology (A), a B for English lit and lang (3 marks off an A so I'm resitting one exam) and a B in Law.
When I seriously struggled to cope this year I looked to you and other study channels for motivation and support. You have been a massive inspiration for me! I can not wait for next year. I have hope and determination to do even better. (Aiming for an A*, A*, A.)

Congratulations. I’m very happy to hear that you did so well despite your challenges. I’m a bit older, but I too deal with depression, anxiety and have BPD. It does get better. I went through therapy for bpd which I found very helpful. Congratulations once again. ❤️
Every semester before uni starts I make a resolution to make use of study spaces & on-campus libraries to get things done & it's honestly really helpful :)

Kinda watched you since 2016-2017 (for motivation as they were my GCSEs years), and now seeing you doing well in Exeter makes me feel slightly emotional. As an idea which is a bit different, would you consider making a video on how to study and stay motivated with severe visual impairment? I’m almost legally blind and I can’t read any font below a size 36 so a video would be so helpful!!
Things like ideas on how to study when you can’t read palm cards, books or textbooks etc..

I'm not visually impaired (although I do need glasses haha) but Im a bit of an audio learner so I hope I can suggest something. Reading note would be difficult, but if you could record yourself reading the necessary facts on a voice recording app and replay the audio whenever you have time, it does stick. E.g. when you're walking up, before you go to sleep, on the train, etc. Also if you try to explain the topic out louds w/o help, and then fill in what you couldn't remember with any resources you have. Teaching other people is also one of the best ways to know you understand a topic, too! I don't use them, but I imagine audiobooks would also be useful for you. I hope I could help a little!! I'm only doing my A-levels, so I'm not very experienced.
Also associating process to body parts. It's a bit hard to explain. I think unjaded jade has a good video of object association for this! Mnemonics are good, too.
slight warning about reusing a plastic water bottle: after about 8 or 9 uses, you should recycle it or throw it away because the chemicals in the plastic will start to seep into the water

The hard plastic ones are a bit more durable as they have less BPA in them (the chemicals that make plastic thin and flexible and harm your health) but still avoid plastic whenever possible! ♡

What are your thoughts with regard to issues of racism at Exeter?
As a student here in Exeter will say racism is rife, many issues on campus and off as well. I wouldn't recommend the uni tbh.

- Hall of the mountain king is a fabulous piece of classical music, one of my favourites. Grieg is a legend! The dubstep version is hilariously amazing with the beat drop 😂💗

Personally find it a bit... mad the way we feel we should explain ourselves if we use disposable plastic now 🙁 as if the plastic police are coming to arrest us? Sometimes it is unavoidable, don’t feel like you should explain yourself.
I think it's a good thing, that CZcamsrs like Ruby point out that using plastic isn't self-evident for them and that they try to avoid it as often as possible.
In this way the topic is always present and other people will pay attention to it.

@@sapiens2299 That's exactly why I included that section! I knew it would have been easier just to have left it out, but I wanted to make a point that, if we did need to get a disposable water bottle for any reason (because sometimes it can't be helped unfortunately), we can make better use of it.
(when I say it can't be helped -- I mean, maybe twice a year I'll forget a water bottle, they won't be selling any glass bottles and I will be extremely thirsty!) xx

Exeter uni doesnt have enough accomodation available to fit the influx of new students coming in, relegating them to private housing when people cant afford it. This happens every year ahahaha
@@hollysbudgets like where the Depot was being built, but not in enough time, meaning lots of students having less than a month to find new accommodation before the start of this year

I live just outside Exeter and I can tell you like 70% of the buildings are student flats
I always walk past the university when I’m heading to central I didn’t know how nice it looked inside
Can you do a video on how you write your to do lists? Like the things you include on the list and how you go about completing it?
If I can tell I think it's not that hard. Write everything you need to do in that day and start from the hardest ones.

It's a pleasant sensation to feel on your face and it does combat swelling a bit. But other than that it isn't actually doing all that much to me. That being said, I do enjoy using it! It's up to you if you'd be interested in getting such a massager, it's definitely not a must by any means.
@@shalryma thank you! I was interested in buying it but didn't have much faith it will work! I don't get an awful lot of swelling but rather a lot of redness you see and it was suggested to my I bought one but I'm not so sure!
@@Olivia-kd5zt If you decide to get one, do check a TK Maxx if there's one in your area - you can get those rollers there for just a couple of pounds, so you can give it a try without risking too much regret if you don't like it :D

I graduated from Exeter a couple years ago, awesome uni - good to see you kept this a very accurate portrayal with all the studying! My only qualm with the uni is they kept accepting far too many students for the size of the city / campus / accommodation available.
