After a while they noticed that the reworked rims lasted longer than the regular ones. It compresses the top surface layer and creates a Prince Rupert drop-like effect in metal.
Used to fill and reshape welds in high school. Took welding class as a regular student one period and later in the day I'd come back as a teacher's aide to do stuff like that. After a few months I got pretty good at it but nowhere near this level. This looks damn good.
@@murmenaattori6 depending on the alloys and filler alloy welded, it might actually hurt in some cases I'd guess? Like the alloys that like to crack when cooling, wouldn't this mess with brittle joints?
Its cool for sure, but wouldnt it have been easier to blend it by not welding in the first place? Benchvise sum torchin n wacking woulda gotten almost the same result 😅
Can anyone recommend me a safe grinder to work with? Sorry I'm young and they scare me 😿 I saw accidents with my own eyes and I have that fear so big 😢
There are grinders with like a trigger. They only run when you hold on tight. When something happens and you loosen your grip it will stop. Just be carefull, wear eyes and ears, dont do sudden movements and have a guard and hand grip installed. You"ll get confidence fast.
Peening the exterior of a part strenghtens it and makes it look like Sand Cast.
Oh man that cast effect is lush
Peening a metal surface gives a cast appearance and actually makes the part stronger
@@williamdunn4811so that machine poking bumps, its not just for aesthetic?

Needle scaler it's a great tool i never thought i needed before having one
An airhammer? Get one and you’ll use it all the time
It's not an air hammer.
@@tvviewer4500 no dude it's a needle scaler
@@zpbeats3938 run off air?
@@zpbeats3938 which runs on?
I’ve used a needle scaler for a LOT while welding, mostly cleaning slag or scale off. But using it to texture the part is awesome.
I took mine apart and sharpened the needles and it really knocks some rust off quickly. They last quite a while before they get dull too
Круто! Выглядит невероятно красиво!👍 И музыка супер!🕺
Been using the needle scaler for that effect for some time...its awesome
Super Nice , please think about your hand vibration damage is a bummer
They don't vibrate as much as you would think they do
they have air cushioning
@@hulkgqnissanpatrol6121 Well hade the same tools and are retiered from the workshop becuse off it , vibration gloves and pads are the best
@@cristianbergman i don't know, Im a bus builder (30years). Never had a problem.
Teaspoon of cement maybe ?
Haha..
I used the needle gun on my home-fab carb linkage brackets for my Dart. Made it blend perfectly with the M-1 single plane intake!!
That is so cool, so well done...it's "prettiful"
Nailed it

A gift to watch :-)
I came for the cars & ultimately stayed for the music 🎸🎶👌
Dude u just gave me a hell of an idea 💡 thanks ✌🏾
yes ! thats right , me too !
Artistry in welding!
Just got a new follower because of your craftsmanship. Outstanding vids
You keep getting better and better. Good work! 👍🏾
Nice work
You keep nailing it everytime. Joy to watch.
Love it made me smile today thank u
That is a rad idea!
The best engineer 🤘🤠
This dude is a badass
Птрясная работа ! Большой мастер 🔥👍
Good one ill be sure to use it later on 💪🏽💪🏽🔥
Anyone with a grinder can make a weld look good
You do nice work
You need some Scotchbrite surface conditioning discs to finish those welds after the flap wheel, it'll even out the high spots
Very nice!
Nice job!
That's the way you do it. Nice clean up bro
Nice work brother
Square disc perfect on radios

Awesome work
Fanbloodytastic work lad genius 👍🇬🇧
By needling it does it also releave any stress from welding?
It certainly does not hurt!
@@murmenaattori6 depending on the alloys and filler alloy welded, it might actually hurt in some cases I'd guess? Like the alloys that like to crack when cooling, wouldn't this mess with brittle joints?
@@DC_DC_DC_DC No, if a needle scaler work hardens your joint then your joint was not going to hold in the first place.
The needle gun reduces any surface tension. 😊
Nice.
Looking Forward to seeing you back in Canada. ( Japhands ).

yoo, Dr Disrespect doing what he loves, living his next chapter in life
😳 so that galvanized look is just a finish?! I always thought it's from casting impurities
In casting its natural. Especially when cast in sand, aluminium could be vast in sand or injection molded into steel molds.
Dire Straits ❤️
Grinders and paint make you the welder you aint
I'm so glad I don't have to grind out my welds
is that aluminium ??
Nice... Now lets see paul allens welds.
using the needler to give it texture... after all that sanding...
Wow 👏

My co worker would call you a grinder, not a welder
Что за инструмент в конце с множеством штырей? Подскажите кто знает плиз.
Scotch Brite hides all sins
Makes u a grinder not a welder
Why beat it?
It looks cheap and old.
Why when it’s so easy to cast?
Gotta love fabrication!
I think you skipped a few steps.
