Very nice. Low budget, functional, and you actually thought it up and just made one. So don't sweat the the engineers with phd's. Their just hating. I'm sure it will work just for you.

Muy bueno el tornito!!! Yo le agregaría un ruleman de apoyo atrás del mandril para que lo aguante cuando haces precion..porque la agujereadora no esta diseñada para hacer fuerza de costado..

Good video but I question how long the drill will last if you're turning anything bigger than finials in soft wood. Even my mini-lathe is conservatively, 3/4 HP with a top speed around 4200 rpm and using a belt type of speed control so you don't lose torque and power (as with most drills) since the motor remains at its best power speed. Best of luck with it though and be careful what you try to rough out.

Все очень мудро кроме 2 просчетов. Упор для резца должен иметь регулировку высоты. Дрель не имеет запаса прочности на боковые нагрузки при вращении такого веса. Нужен вал передней бабки с переходом на дрель. Станина и бабка задняя очень хороши я себе такие же буду делать, но только с возможностью корректировки центров задней и передней бабки. Отличная работа мне понравилось👍

Diamleon Dyi, Builds I'm sure that when you watched/edited this video you must have noticed the great amount of axial run-out. Combine that with the cone shaped tail stock acting like a log splitter and throw in a little centrifugal force and you might be able to answer the age old question ..."How many toothpicks traveling at sonic speeds can I have stuck in my chest, neck and face and still survive?" PS: Love the hand modeling action.

if we had a big machine lathe we wouldnt need to be making a cheesy little wood lathe. And gotta love the using the chop saw with sandles

Muy buena herramienta, pero en ninguna parte ví medidas para los cortes de las piezas ni los diámetros de los agujeros. Excelente, lo felicito.
En cambio yo, le pediría que tuviese mas seguridad, como esta eso que trabaja con chanclas y su forfa de cortar con el esmeril no es la correcta,

I need a base for a mini lathe I am building. I think I can use your idea with a little adjustment. Mine will be used for turning small steel setscrews and making them into threaded pins. I will be using a sewing machine motor with a foot control to power mine. I was wondering how to make a small tool rest and attach it to the base. You pretty much showed me everything I needed to know. Thank you!

Diamleon build one with off the shelf supplies. no welder no lathe or cut off machine. Show us how to build one with nuts and bolts and common tools.
При таком количестве станков не хватает только этого? Не верю. Уберём токарный, сверлильный, отрезной. Оставим сварочник и слесарку. И вперёд со всеми приспособами
Так и быть - из электроинструмента кроме сварочника оставим еще дрель и маленькую болгарку, но с защитным кожухом. :) И вперед, под музыку. :)

Всё хорошо, но заднюю бабку надо бы сделать с упорным подшипником, а то если делать изделие долго то разболтается.
