Hoony (the chill one) is actually the craziest on stage, he's saving his energy pretty well 😂 He is the main dancer and choreographer.
The blue one (Jinu) is the oldest and visual of the group.
Yoon (watermelon guy) is the leader, youngest member, and Winner main producer. Also a pro photographer.
Mino (the hyper one) is the main rapper. He's known as one of the best hiphop rapper among idols and a pro painter.
They produce their own songs. Three of them can produce their own songs. They known as Trust and Listen group, King of Summer, and University Festival King.
They're pretty known as individu in SK too.

Yeah!! They brought different vibe to YG. Like from JINUSEAN to 2NE1.. They all heavy hiphop but winner came with lowkey r&b/pop/funky vibes. After them you have hiphop group debute of ikon... blackpink etc. Winner is the odd one yet significant to YG DNA. Each group is but winner just different. Treasure has their vibe too along with senior groups.
Their DNA is passed down😂.
WINNER is not as known internationally, but they are called "trust and listen" "always in season" group in Korea - the general public loves them, they did a guerrilla concert announced online 3 days before and 20,000 people showed up 💙 Btw, Seungyoon (guy in pink/green) is the leader, the maknae and WINNER's main producer - he's also known for winning king of masked singer 6 times (the only 3rd gen idol to do so) and of course his acting, like his role in "Tomorrow"
I understand when he said he hears something different with Winner. Yup, they definitely have their own style.
The leader’s name is Kang Seungyoon. He’s also the main vocalist and main producer of the group . All 3 can write and compose songs. They are a self produced group and are widely known in Korea for a being a trust and listen group and summer and festival kings. They may be underrated in the international scene but are the general public’s favorite this is why they always get invited to perform in uni festivals and water bomb. They are a multi-talented group and are respected and known individually as well.
WINNER are known as South Korea's University Festival Kings..and University Festivals are huge in SK..They are also highly respected musicians..especially Yoon (6 times vocal king of King of masked singers) & MINO(critically acclaimed rapper & genius lyricist according to the general public)
Omg WINNER finally!! I know you got the recommendation on IG but I requested their Killing Voice back when you first started checking out Killing Voices, so I’m very happy you got here, thank you!
WINNER debuted in 2014 and got their name from winning a competition show against another team from their label YG (that team later debuted as iKON). They are AMAZING live and truly know how to hype up a crowd (very popular at music and college festivals). They initially had five members but one said the vibe wasn’t for him and left the group years ago. For first mvs to check out I’d recommend Sentimental, Island, Hold, and SoSo as a good blend.
From left to right:
Seunghoon (Hoony) - 1992 - main dancer, lead rapper, and vocalist - absolutely hilarious and great at TikTok - competed on 1st season of a show called Kpop Star (got 4th) where he got attention from his ability to think on his feet and improv
Jinu - 1991 - oldest member, lead vocalist, visual - nicknamed the fake maknae (youngest) and International Lost Boy because he comes off as innocent and gets lost easily, bit of a homebody
Seungyoon (Yoon) - 1994 - youngest member, leader (you called it), main vocalist - finished 4th on show Superstar K2 in 2010 - debuted as a soloist in 2013 and won some rookie of the year awards - jack of all trades, ends up being great at everything (billiards, photography, guitar) - photos have been featured in an art exhibition - acted in a number of kdramas and sings at a lot of weddings - composes a lot of the group’s music - youngest ever to win King of Masked Singer (at the time record setting streak for an idol with 6 wins) - my ult bias, I could go on all day
Song Min Ho (Mino) - 1993 - main rapper, vocalist, face of the group - very very popular (cast member of a popular show called New Journey to the West) and cool - was an underground rapper and debuted in a short lived group called B.o.M - part of a duo with Bobby from iKON called MOBB - composes a lot of music - painter (been featured in art exhibitions) - runs a cafe called Osechill

Watermelon shirt is Kang Seungyoon; rapper on the right is Mino, who has a solid solo career aswell and his own killing verse; rapper on the left is Hoony (Seunghoon), he‘s their main dancer; singer next to him is Jinu, who has a softer sweet voice compared to seungyoon, who‘s a baritone. For a kpop group they‘re a bit more chill and mature (as can be seen in their earlier mvs and solo stuff), probably due to the fact that they debuted around 10 years ago and the climate was a bit different. The korean general public likes them and enjoys their songs as well and as all YG groups, they have great stage presence. You might notice an additional member (Nam Taehyun) in their earlier music videos, he left back in 2016 for personal reasons and continued as the lead singer of a rock band, you can look up the details but he pretty much set the tone for their earlier music direction. After his departure, the group changed their musical direction to more of a tropical house vibe. Both guys on the right are currently in the middle of their military enlistment, the other guys have already completed it

I'm super happy y'all discovered one of my favourite boy groups, *WINNER* 😊😌. The one in watermelon shirt name is *Yoon* he's the leader of the group, the two guys towards the end names are, *Hoony* and *Mino* they are the main rappers of the group. The shortest yet oldest member of the group name is *Jinu* or *Jinwoo*
Yep, the guys with the watermelon shirt is the leader, his name is Kang Seungyoon. He’s also the youngest of the group too and one of the best vocalists of Kpop idols. I love how you notice the uniqueness in each member.

The man you see hyping is Song Mino. He has his own episode for Killing Verse (Rap ver.). He is acknowledged as one of the best Korean rappers (approved and stamped by the Korean hiphop community and legends)
The one beside Mino is Kang Seungyoon, considered as one of the best vocalists in South Korea. Won multiple singing shows (specially King of Masked Singer and Immortal Songsl Songs) and also have the stamp of approval from the legends too.

as an Inner Circle, I'm so glad you enjoyed this. you may want to watch a few of their University Festival performances. they're an in-demand group for those. they're currently on group hiatus because 2 members are doing their mandatory enlistment, but they'll be back by 2025 😊

WINNER are known as the SUMMER & FESTIVAL KINGS of KPOP because a majority of their songs are summer hits and whenever there's a festival you can always guarantee that WINNER are invited to perform and when they perform you cannot even hear them sing because of how loud the crowd can get. They are also known as a "Trust & Listen" group because you don't know what type of sound you're gonna get from them but you can always bet that it'll be a bop.

I strongly suggest listening to the complete songs or watching their MVs as well as their live performances. They're nothing like those typical k-pop boy bands.

Just like w their seniors, my first love bigbang, I had spent more time watching videos of their concerts and live performances than their actual mvs 😅 so it'd be nice to re-watch with you guys.
I hope you get to watch Mino's Killing Verse too. Downside is that there isnt any English subs on the upload. (I had watched one w Eng translations on another channel - I can't rmbr where now).
Another Killing Voice tt I enjoyed and had watched on repeat is Highlight's. 2nd gen grp which started off as Beast in 2009 & became Highlight in 2017 when they moved labels. Their Killing Voice has a similar fun vibe as Winner's, but with more typical 2nd gen sounds.

I listen to it almost every day since it dropped in July 2022. There are way too few reactions to it on the internet (and ive watched and re-watched them all).
I love Winner's entire discography & their solos. Kang Seung Yoon (watermelon shirt) is my favourite 3rd gen boy group vocalist. He's amazing. 😭😭😭 Oh, he's an actor too. Most recently appeared in an episode of Tomorrow kdrama and made me ugly cry.

Winner from YG, brother group to Ikon. The two halves were formed from a reality show with contestants all YG trainees. Both groups have members that have won Show Me The Money (rap contest show) which is very rare for a Kpop idol.
IKON's Bobby won SMTM - WINNER's MINO got second place in his season, but ended up coming back as a producer, so maybe that counts as a "win"

Maybe it means adlibs, famous YG artists liven up the atmosphere during live performances, their voices are unique and their styles are also unique, No YG No Party
Winner’s really talented. They write and produce their music and are a really popular group in SK. They became a group through a YG survival show and used to have 5 members(That’s why one of their songs had 4 version after it) One of their members left due to personal reasons and also just conflicts in what he wanted to do with his music. He formed his own band and company a couple years after they debuted.
Yoon and Jinwoo(the two in the middle) both have their own solo music. And Mino, on the far right, is a pretty well known and respected rapper in his own right. He has a few solo albums. And he’s well known for his word play and flow.
Hoony on the far left is their main dancer. And he’s got his own personality.
They’re really funny and a lot of their MVs usually have female backup dancers that they actually interact with, which you don’t see super often. I would def recommend checking out some of them.
