@@ElMiKy75 I dont think it would be good because of the recoil from the cannon. You would need a thrust to activate in sync with the shot to counter the recoil

I don't think it is one hundred percent proven that these types of electromagnetic weapons have that future.
@@ElMiKy75 yup, but as a secondary weapon laser is used to fry chips in circuit of opposing weapon/vehicle.

@@ElMiKy75 They wil evolve but main turret will always be based shell type ammo. What can change is shell's material and shape and gunpowder based shell will be used in low level combat or ultimate target practice(where expensive tech like mentioned in next paragraph, will be avoided) . Max they can do is design shell as mini nuclear shell or hydrogen reaction based on combustion of hydrogen rather than fusion (which occures in sun which is impossible even to imagine on small scale). I mentioned railgun because , it was trending few months back .
