- Jorge Masvidal made a drastic change into his UFC career when he told himself he wasnt gonna leave it up to the judges anymore after losing so many fight to split decisions. He came back and knocked out Darren Till and Ben Askren as well as TKOing Nate Diaz.

@Neslet Chimaew the Darren Till knockout was unbelievable, but he had just lost to woodley and went on to lose like every fight after that. The Ben Askren knockout was legendary but it was the perfect storm and Masvidal was really over-rated after those 2.

That run he had after he came back was crazy to watch. He was ruthless and unpredictable. I honestly think the usman fights are what started the downfall. He started fighting like a tactical point fighter almost. He tried to have that high level championship game plan in every fight, when he would have probably been better off taking more risks and trying to just let that savagery go like before

It's funny because he fought a youngin really new to the sport, a fat guy that does nothing but wrestle, and a washed up cte fighter. And he won them all. Wow.... Then he fights any half decent fighters in the game and gets destroyed. Definition of a journeyman.
Wouldn't say gets destroyed. Usman and copby got him but they're ahead of the pack and have styles that are great vs him. Endless gas tank wrestlers are always hard to deal with. Lots of other elite guys he's fought were tough losses, split decisions or he looked solid in them. Wonderboy tuned him hut wonderboy in his prime tunes anyone in the division standing up. He had good performances vs Melendez, Larkin, Benson Henderson, Al Iaquinta, Cerrone Maia, and Daley who missed weight.
He's above a journeyman, just not a true belt contender. He can hang around top 7-8 for a little longer before he gets too old.
The general opinion of Askren before and after the Masvidal KO shows just how insane some people are.
