[Webinar Replay] Home Health Regulatory Update: Final Rule CY2019/CY2020 Payment & Policy Changes

CMS recently released the home health final rule for CY2019 which includes updates to Medicare payments, quality reporting changes, refinements to case-mix methodology, and a temporary transitional payment for home infusion therapy services beginning January 1, 2019. The rule also finalizes a case-mix methodology refinement, which will eliminate the use of therapy thresholds for case-mix adjustment purposes and will change the unit of payment from a 60-day episode of care to a 30-day period of care, with episodes beginning on January 1, 2020 as mandated by section 51001 of the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018 (BBA).
