  • Left Right Sub Fill is an industry standard for feeding a PA system. Left Right covers the main speakers, Sub is the send for the subwoofers, and Fill is for the front fills that typically sit at the front of the stage covering the front rows. The Behringer Wing makes it very simple to set these up using the matrix section, and includes a great way of feeding a guest engineer to that PA send as well.

Hi Drew first of all thank you for your wonderful videos about the X32 and Wing. Will it be possible to make a video for both on how to setup a PA system including the time delays etc.. Also I saw some are using TRACT and SMAART (or any equivalent) with these consoles. Many thanks.

Hi, why did you NOT use "Speaker Manager" for low- and hi- cut?

Hey drew, there's a small conflict in here, hope I'll be able to explain well, focus..
The first thing you do is you setup the matrix and sending it out of outputs 1 - 4 on the AES50A. Now during the video you explain that you will send the channels directly to the matrix because you will be mixing on the main LR and you don't wanna confuse it, which is a great theory, how is your mix gonna be heard while his matrixes are feeding the outputs though? So you will have to change it manually in the outputs before you mix and before he mixes?

Good question, wrong observation. The matrices aren’t owned by anyone in this way of patching. His LR is being sent to matrices and he bypassed the guest from going to his LR but, sent it directly to the matrices from the input channel. If you know about matrix mixers then, this is the way Wing does matrix mixing. They both can use the output at the same time, he could even have a second guest and all three could mix together in tandem

Not sure why you'd want to burn a mixbus for subs when the Wing has 4 Main mixes.

So if I wanted to separate the L R on their own matrices, you'd have to make them mono? Like L on 1, R on 2, Sub on 3, and Fill on 4? Some guys I work with like them separate.

How does a Matrix work? What’s its function?

No need to add negativity here.. if he wants this that means he is up to learning, so just teach him that this product is not meant for this
