The dog's cajónes mate. Spot on. There's space next to that tarp on the bum of the pack for a pad-sit on or roll out for a bed 3/4 length - just a thought.

An attached sit mate, I have thought of that before mate but I found it better to have one I could sit anywhere on it ..

Good stuff. I've been gifted a rucksack and it's terrible. Unless you actually use them in the field so to speak you don't understand what's needed. A fancy brand badge adds a £100 but still doesn't mean it's useful. Lots of pockets and good closures is what you need. Obviously you have made this exactly to your requirements and the final bit of under carriage (for a day sack) may make people question why a 4x4 tarp is needed but the uk weather sometime throws it at you and an ample shelter will take you out of the wind and rain for a brew, otherwise you might not venture out based on the weather forcast - and it's all about getting out!
