    • @raiderman28
      @raiderman28  Před 4 lety +2

      Richard Short sometimes you ha e to reset the door clips. If you look at the clip, it might look like its pushed in on itself. You have to use a small flat thin screwdriver to get the clips to not be snapped all the way in. Vw’s clips sometimes do that, so when you snap it on, it’s actually not snapping in, because it can’t ( it’s already snapped in on itself). Hopefully this makes sense

  • @CoachMatt49

    Hey Paul Great video, My window wont lower so if I want to just replace the master switch just pry off that vertical handle and pry off switch. I should have to take off the door, right

    • @raiderman28
      @raiderman28  Před 2 lety

      My name is Raul . And yes you can just try to pry the front of the switch and with a small flat screwdriver push in on each of the tabs, so it will release the switch and pull up and disconnect.

    • @raiderman28
      @raiderman28  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes. Have to use a small flat screwdriver from the front. I show how to remove switch on here, but i had pulled panel, but you don’t have to pull panel. Clip in the front has to be push in to pull up from the front.

    Is it possible to remove the window switch without opening the door panel?

    • @raiderman28
      @raiderman28  Před 5 lety +4

      wartext yes. If you get a plastic tool on the front part of the switch, pry gently alittle, use a small flat screwdriver to push in on each of the two tabs, and the will release the switch in the front. And slowly work it out.

    Hey Raul, thank you so much for this video! Quick question: my rear passenger window will not roll up or down consistently and I think the glass is poorly seated in its regulator mount. Do you suppose this would require a new regulator? or simply re-seating the windowpane in the existing regulator?

    Thanks for the video, I own a 2015 golf tdi, this has helped me remove rear door panel, but I’m stuck trying to install a new window regulator, and can’t seem to access it, any idea how to get to it? Thank you

    • @raiderman28
      @raiderman28  Před 2 lety +1

      I don’t remove many regulators. But most of them are held on by a few bolts. Usually you have to get the window to go down to unbolt the glass from the regulator. Once you unbolt the glass you have to pull the glass out from where it rolls up and down. Then you unbolt the regulator and then slide it out either from the area where the glass Rauls up and down or through an area that has an opening if possible. Looking at the video and screenshot him a picture of the door. It looks like it has two or three bolts that are holding the regulator in. But you have to get the regulator to roll down the window enough so that you can get to the other clips or bolts that are holding the window to the regulator. There’s usually very small openings or you can fit something to unbolt it or unclip it from the regulator. Hopefully this helps a little bit. I would probably look up how to remove a window regulator from a volkswagon. Maybe something will pop up that gives you a better idea

      Thanks for the quick reply, I’ll try lowering the widow, I’ve found a few good videos replacing the regulator but unfortunately they were for previous generations and the design seems like it changed and don’t really apply to the MK7

    • @raiderman28
      @raiderman28  Před 3 lety

      I did remove the panel in this video, but if you take a small screwdriver on the front part of the switch, there are two pieces that you push in and pull up to get switch out, without pulling door panel, but if you don’t push in on the correct spots, you can break the switch

    Hey Raul romo.great video.i have a water leak coming in the bottom of my rear left passengers door on my Golf 7 2015.from what i have seen on other videos it seem the gasket seal behind the speaker is leaking and from taking off the reflector at the bottom of the door i can see a run stain from the water leading down which goes into the rear footwell of the car and the rubber mat.i dont like messing with things is there any way i could seal it without taking out the spreaker and re reviting it back on.could i get sealer and rub it into the bottom of the speaker from the reflector light hole would that do?look forward to hearing back thanks alan

    • @raiderman28
      @raiderman28  Před 4 lety +1

      i have never heard of a water leak where there is no water. so i will assume you mean it leaks when you wash the vehicle or i rains??? does the vehicle have a sunroof?? sometimes the drain hoses get plugged up and water backs up and goes everywhere. as for the seal on the speaker, that is there for acoustic reasons, not for water sealing. you might have a bad door seal (around the door). i would take it to a body shop and have them take a look at it.
